Abstract

Dans un procédé de traitement d' envois postaux, on forme une image numérique (10) d une surface d un envoi courant pour reconnaître par OCR une adresse postale de destinataire pour cet envoi et si on détermine que ladite adresse de destinataire reconnue correspond à une adresse de destinataire incorrecte on appose (14) sur ladite surface de l' envoi courant une adresse de redirection. On appose sur la surface de l' envoi courant, en plus de ladite adresse de redirection, une marque (M) détectable par OCR, cette marque étant indicative que l envoi courant porte une adresse de redirection et cette marque constituant aussi un index pour la récupération de ladite adresse de redirection dans une base de données.
