Abstract

【課題】回転円柱の先端部側の領域におけるスパイラル条に加わる空気抵抗の影響を低減させ、発電効率を向上させることができるマグナス型風力発電装置を提供すること。 【解決手段】各回転円柱7がこれら回転円柱7の軸周りに回転することで、各回転円柱7の回転と風力との相互作用で生じるマグナス揚力により水平回転軸5を回転させて発電機構部3を駆動するマグナス型風力発電装置1であって、回転円柱7の外周表面には、凸状に形成されたスパイラル条8a,8b,8cが設けられ、このスパイラル条8a,8b,8cにより回転円柱7の外周表面に、少なくとも回転円柱7の軸と平行な空気の流れ成分Vを発生させる構造を有し、スパイラル条8a,8b,8cのリード角θが、回転円柱7の水平回転軸5に近い基端部側よりも回転円柱7の先端部側の方が小さく形成されている。
