Die unterschiedlichen Funktionalitäten im Sinne sind aber auch zwei Leselichter, die in unterschiedliche Richtungen ausgerichtet sind. Ein Funktionsbereich kann auch eine einfache Scheibe sein, die einfach durchstrahlt wird. Der Funktionsbereich kann auch ein Diffusor für das Licht sein. Die unterschiedliche optische Funktion werden durch eine Gestaltung der Oberfläche und/oder des Querschnitts des jeweiligen Bereichs erreicht. Beispielsweise kann der Bereich als Sammellinse gestaltet werden, die das abgestrahlte Licht zu einem Leselicht bündelt und/oder in Richtung des Fahrers oder des Beifahrers des Kraftfahrzeuges lenkt.
