Abstract

The interior light is of the type having a fixed housing (2), fixed to a roof support surface (3,4), enclosing a light source (7) and a reflector (8). The light source is fixed and has a rotatable plate (15) having on its periphery lenses (16) which modify the light emitted from the source. Rotation of the plate alters the position of the lenses (16) with respect to the reflector as a function of the type of beam wanted. The plate (15) is fixed to a spindle (17) which rotates on a support (5) inside the housing (2), and which has at its free end (17a) a control disk (18) for rotating the plate (15). The plate (15) has index slots which engage into spring loaded bearing stops (20,21) for positioning a beam modifying lens (16) with respect to the reflector (8).
