Abstract

　媒体に記録された面積復調パターンのヘッドによる読取信号から復調される９０度の位相差をもつ２つの復調信号Ｘ，Ｙにより位相平面に形成されるベクトルの方向を示す位相角をヘッド位置信号として出力する。位相角はアークタンジェント関数に復調信号Ｘ，Ｙを代入して算出する。アークタンジェント関数は、復調信号Ｘ，Ｙにより位相平面に形成されるポジションリサージュの比率（Ｙ／Ｘ）が０～１の範囲を分割した区間の確率密度を実測し、各区間の確率密度を累積した累積確率密度カーブに補正する。
