Abstract

 接触によりガスの化学的変化を生ずる触媒成分を含む触媒手段の触媒劣化防止装置であって、燃料を燃焼空気により燃焼させ、燃焼により窒素酸化物を含むガスを生成するバーナと、ガスから吸熱する吸熱手段と、この吸熱手段を通過後の前記ガスに含まれる窒素酸化物を低減する触媒成分を有する触媒手段と、燃料中に含まれ触媒成分に吸着、またはこの触媒成分と反応して化合物を形成する少なくとも硫黄を含む被毒物質を除去する第一被毒物質除去手段とを備える。この装置によれば、触媒手段の性能低下を防止するとともに、低公害の効果を長期に亘って持続させることができる。
