Abstract
情報記録再生装置(1)は、レーザ光を、回折手段(14)によりメインビームとサブビームとに分離するように回折させ、メインビームに係るエバネッセント光を、エバネッセント光発生手段(21)により、記録ピットの形成されているトラックに対して照射させると共に、分離されるサブビームに係るエバネッセント光を記録ピットの形成されていないトラックに対して照射させる。移動手段(210)は、エバネッセント光発生手段を記録面とのギャップを変化させる方向に移動させる。そして、サブビームに係る戻り光はサブ受光手段(311)で、メインビームに係るそれはメイン受光(312)手段で受光され、制御手段(315)は、受光されるサブビームに係る戻り光の光量と受光されるメインビームに係る戻り光の光量とからなるギャップエラー信号に基づいて、ギャップが所定の目標値になるように、移動手段を制御する。
