Abstract

情報記録再生装置(1)は、記録又は再生の別に応じたレーザ光を出射する光源(11)と、出射されるレーザ光を記録媒体(100)へ誘導する光学系(12~19)と、誘導されるレーザ光を、メインビームとサブビームとに分離するように回折させる回折手段(14)と、分離されるサブビームに係るエバネッセント光を、記録媒体の記録面に備わる記録ピットの形成されていないトラックに対して照射させるサブビームに係るエバネッセント光発生手段(21)と、サブビームに係る戻り光を受光するサブ受光手段(311)と、サブビームに係るエバネッセント光発生手段を、記録面とのギャップを変化させる方向に移動させる移動手段(210)と、移動手段を、ギャップが所定の目標値になるように、受光されるサブビームに係る戻り光の光量を示す信号を含んでなるギャップエラー信号に基づいて制御する制御手段(315)とを備える。
