Abstract

 本発明は、ガラス材料と比較して安価に光学素子を作製できる樹脂を用いながら、光学特性(屈折率)の温度依存性も十分に改善されるとともに、波長405nm付近の短波長の光に対しても光透過性に優れる光学用有機無機複合材料及びそれを用いた光学素子を提供する。この光学用有機無機複合材料は、2種類以上の金属酸化物が複合化した複合酸化物からなる無機微粒子が、樹脂中に一次粒子の状態、または一次粒子が複数個凝集した状態で分散されており、これら分散粒子の屈折率のばらつき標準偏差σが0.03以下であり、かつ該無機微粒子の平均一次粒子径が、1nm以上、50nm以下であることを特徴とする。
