Abstract

　被写体追跡用コンピュータプログラム製品に格納されたプログラムによりコンピュータは、入力画像に対して、倍率が異なる複数のテンプレート画像とのテンプレートマッチングを行って、複数のテンプレート画像の中から入力画像の所定領域内の画像との類似度が最も高いテンプレート画像を選択テンプレート画像として選択し、入力画像の所定領域を合致領域として抽出するテンプレートマッチング手順と、テンプレートマッチング手順によるマッチング結果が、複数のテンプレート画像を更新するための更新条件を満たすか否かを判断する判断手順と、判断手順によって更新条件を満たすと判断したときに、複数のテンプレート画像の内の少なくとも１枚を更新する更新手順とを実行する。
