Abstract

 一方のフィルム基板(1)には、表示領域(D)の少なくとも他方端側に切り欠き部(3c)が形成されたシール材(3)が設けられ、一方のフィルム基板(1)又は他方のフィルム基板(2)には、表示領域(D)の一方端側に液晶材料(4)が供給されており、各フィルム基板(1)及び(2)の両端部よりも中央部における圧力が高くなるように各フィルム基板(1)及び(2)の表面を押圧して、一対のフィルム基板(1)及び(2)をシール材(3)及び液晶材料(4)を介して貼り合わせるための貼り合わせ部(21)と、貼り合わせ部(21)で貼り合わせられた一対のフィルム基板(1)及び(2)に対し、シール材(3)の切り欠き部(3c)を封止するための封止部(23)とを備えている。
