Abstract

 本発明では、有機EL素子を構成する有機化合物層に、分子内に複数の重合性基を有する化合物または該化合物の少なくとも1種の重合体を含有する架橋性材料を用いることで、有機層自身にバリアー性を付与することができる。それにより、本発明は素子の側面部分に接着剤の使用、封止材料の使用等を不要とすることができ、封止工程を用いなくとも発光効率が高く、発光寿命の長い有機EL素子及びその製造方法を提供できる。
