 レーベル面側からの視認に対し十分なコントラストを得られる画像を、記録面側から描画可能な光ディスクおよび光ディスク装置を提供する。  レーベル面B側に形成され、記録面A側から入射したレーザ光28により感熱変化して画像が形成される光描画層17と、光描画層17のレーベル面B側に形成され、光描画層17を保護すると共に画像をレーベル面B側から可視可能な保護層18と、光描画層17の記録面A側に形成されレーザ光28を反射する反射層16と、反射層16、保護層18および光描画層17を支持する基板15と、を備えたものである。
