Abstract

 本発明は、圧電素子およびスイッチング素子の発熱を低減した摩擦駆動方式の駆動装置を提供する。この摩擦駆動方式の駆動装置は、電圧が印加されると伸縮する圧電素子と、圧電素子に一端が固定された振動部材と、振動部材に摩擦係合する摩擦係合部材と、電源に接続され、圧電素子に電源の電圧を所定の駆動周期で印加する駆動回路と、を有する駆動装置であって、駆動回路は、圧電素子の電極を電源に接続する充電スイッチング素子と、圧電素子の電極を接地する放電スイッチング素子と、電源と圧電素子との間、および、圧電素子と接地点との間の電路のいずれかに配設された保護抵抗とを備えるものとし、保護抵抗の抵抗値を、スイッチング素子のオン抵抗より大きく、スイッチング素子の駆動周期の1/2を圧電素子の容量で除した値よりも小さくする。
