Abstract

 鉄系合金の溶湯を半凝固スラリー生成容器30内に注湯して冷却することで、晶出固相と残留液相とからなる半凝固スラリーを得る鉄系合金の半凝固スラリーの製造方法であって、亜共晶鋳鉄組成の材料を用い、この溶湯を所定量ずつ前記半凝固スラリー生成容器30内に注湯すると共に、前記半凝固スラリー生成容器30に注湯された際の溶湯の温度範囲を、その組成における晶出開始温度以上で且つ晶出開始温度よりも50°C高い温度以下となるように制御し、且つ前記半凝固スラリー生成容器30内に注湯された溶湯の冷却速度を、毎分20°C以下の冷却速度になるように制御する。
