Abstract

 液晶ディスプレイ等に用いられる直下型バックライトユニットに設けられる光拡散板は、十分な拡散性能なく大型化への対応が困難であり、また、低コストで光拡散板を作製することが困難であった。  ガラス基板と、該ガラス基板上に形成される光拡散層からなる光拡散板であり、  前記光拡散層は、マトリックスと光拡散材からなり、マトリックスと光拡散材の屈折率差の絶対値Δnが、0.05以上0.5未満であり、光拡散層中の光拡散材の体積率が30%以上であることを特徴である光拡散板。
