Abstract

モータ側接続部及びユニット側接続部の高さを低くしながら組付性を向上することができる電動パワーステアリング装置を提供する。操舵トルクが伝達されるステアリングシャフト２に減速ギヤボックス４内の減速機構を介して操舵補助力を伝達する電動モータ５とを備え、前記減速ギヤボックス４に、前記電動モータ５及び当該電動モータを駆動制御する制御回路を実装した制御基板を含む制御ユニット１９が並設され、前記電動モータ５に設けたモータ側接続部５ｃ，５ｄと前記制御ユニット側に設けた前記モータ側接続部５ｃ，５ｄに面接触可能なユニット側接続部３３ａ，３３ｂとが夫々前記電動モータの軸心方向に対して傾斜配置されている。また、電動モータ５及び減速ギヤボックス４間に、当該電動モータ５自体を回転させる調芯時に、電動モータ５の前記減速ギヤボックス４に対する軸方向位置を変化させる当接部が形成されている。
