Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour régénérer l'activité catalytique d'une résine échangeuse d'anions fortement basique donnée jusqu'à un niveau satisfaisant après que la résine a été utilisée dans la fabrication d'un ester d'acide gras pour un carburant de biodiesel. Lorsque la résine échangeuse d'anions fortement basique contient une amine tertiaire ayant une valeur de pKa de 9,8 ou moins liée chimiquement à un support insoluble, la résine utilisée dans la fabrication d'un ester d'acide gras pour un carburant biodiesel est lavée avec une solution faiblement acide, soumise au remplacement d'un contre-ion avec une solution alcaline aqueuse, et gonflée par un solvant.
