Abstract
排気ガスに含まれる有害物質を除去するフィルタ(10)を、排気ガスの流路の上流側に慣性さえぎり効果により有害物質を除去する第1領域を、下流側に吸着により有害物質を除去する第2領域を配置すると共に、前記第1領域に炭化水素吸着材を含む金属触媒(13)を担持し、前記第2領域に酸素吸蔵能を有する材料を含む金属触媒(14)を担持して構成する。これにより、フィルタの捕集機能と触媒の酸化機能を組み合わせた高捕集率、低温活性、低圧損のフィルタ及び排気ガス浄化システムを提供する。
