As depicted in FIG. 4B, the engagement means 54 can then penetrate through a slide bearing element 70 between the frame sections and retardingly engage with a slide surface 52 (and/or 62) of at least one of the frame sections 50, 60 when the latter endeavour to slide apart.
  • the engagement means 54 may take the form of prongs made of a material of such hardness and shape that they can penetrate at least partly the slide surface 52 and/or 62 of the respective frame sections during the action of the belt force caused by a collision.

  • the set of engagement means 54 may also extend round the frame sections 50, 60 so that the engagement means 54 will also be effective in relation to forces on the backrest frame 40 which act in any directions transverse to the sliding directions of the frame sections 50, 60.
  • the slide bearing element 70 may be made of a compressible material, e.g. a low-friction plastic material, which is normally partly penetrated by the engagement means 54. A force resulting from a collision will cause tips 56 of the engagement means 54 to penetrate right through the slide bearing element 70 and into the slide surface 62 when the slide bearing element 70 is compressed approximately as in FIG. 4B. If the slide bearing element 70 is not sufficiently compressible, it may, as indicated in FIGS.

Abstract

Cadre de dossier (40) pour siège de véhicule. Le cadre de dossier comprend une section de cadre supérieure (50) et une section de cadre inférieure (60) mobiles l'une par rapport à l'autre au moyen d'un élément d'appui coulissant intermédiaire (70). Entre les sections du cadre (50, 60), se trouvent des moyens de mise en contact (54) situés en des points où les sections de cadre (50, 60) sont amenées l'une vers l'autre conséquemment à une force de collision s'exerçant sur le cadre du dossier (40), de manière à traverser l'élément d'appui coulissant (70) et à venir en contact de manière temporisée avec une surface coulissant (62) de sections de cadre.
