Description

BRICK FOR PIPE LAYING AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTION WORK USING
THE SAME
[Technical Field]
The present invention relates to a brick for pipe laying and method for construction work using the same, more specifically, it is a system that applies to a variety of pipe-fitting construction of wall for the installation of water work, electricity, and etc. that has substantially simplified the mason and piping pipe work substantially thus, has an effect of reducing the labor and material costs, while preventing the danger of having cracks on the wall during/after the construction.
[Background Art] In general, a brick is a flat length-wise hexahedron shape and a number of bricks are laid together to form a wall by intersecting them each other or laminating them by facing each other. Such mason work that lays the brick by intersecting or laminating requires an adhesive such as mortar to fill the gap that is a mixture of sand and cement to a certain ratio. Also, the wall unit constructed as above requires a variety of pipe work such as water work, electricity, and telephone and communication wires. For this, the pipe work can be carried out, after finishing the mason work using a regular hexahedral brick, by installing the pipe by making a hole on the brick wall. To perform this task, 4~5 workers have to work several days using with hammer, drill, chisel, etc. However, the said construction such method requires an extensive labor work which results in a high labor cost, and an additional vacuum to sock in dust that is created from the drilling so that it provides the workers with more workable environment, in addition, it can also cause cracks on the wall from the vibration while drilling after the completion of construction, not to mention the overall delay on the construction time due to too much manual work involved. There is another method of installing the pipe which involves the installation of pipes prior to mason work however; this method also presents other sets of problems. The pipe using this method cannot be fixed securely in place specified in the drawing as the task is performed in an open space thus, it is difficult to locate the right place, let alone to say the difficulty in laying the brick around them after finishing the installation. In doing so, the workers have to be extra careful which in turn, delays the overall construction time.
As illustrated in Fig. Ia, in case of pipe installation that connects hot/cold water pipe to the water dwelling, an iron reinforcing rod (102) has to be erected at the location of water dwelling (101) to fix the water dwelling (101) first then, 0.5b bricks are laid on the wall (103) before the pipe (104) is connect to the water dwelling (101) after then, the empty space is filled with cement or mortar to finish the work.
Also, as illustrated in Fig. Ib, there is another method in which the upper part is formed with 0.5b mason wall (103) and the lower part is formed with 1.0b mason wall (103a). In this case, the pipe (104) that is coated has to be induced to the interior of wall unit, and the water dwelling (101) is connected to the iron reinforcement rod (102) after then, the coat of pipe (104) is taken off before connecting to the water dwelling (101) and the work is completed by filling the gap at the entrance. ' Also, as illustrated in Fig. Ic, the upper part can be formed with 0.5b mason wall (103) and the lower part with 1.0b mason wall (103a) then, operate the pipe work in accordance to the method illustrated in Fig. Ib.
However, the construction work carried out by these methods illustrated in Ia, Ib, Ic, was susceptible to a number of incidents where bricks got collapsed, and because the construction work was complicated, it required an extra expenditure in terms of labor cost, time and material cost.
[Disclosure of Invention] The present invention is designed to solve the said problems and installs the bricks formed with pipe installation entrance at the side and bricks formed with pipe installation groove that has been induced to the right place. By doing so, it eliminates a series of drilling work that it saves the labor cost and the construction time, reduces the amount of dust created during the construction work so that it provides with more pleasant environment to carry out the work, prevents the occurrence of cracks on the wall owing to no vibration and also reduces the chances of making mistakes by carrying out the construction work more precisely in accordance to the specified drawings.
Also, the present invention is aimed to provide an installation method by the use of pipe brick that has the following characteristics: it is comprised of a mason work step where a pipe brick formed with pipe installation entrance on one side and pipe wall formed with pipe installation groove formed with multi-level on one side are located horizontally and vertically to form the path for the pipe to go through the said pipe installation entrance and pipe installation groove, and laid together with standard bricks of rectangular haxadron; a cutting step to form the incision part to the size of filling-up box so that it enables the installation of filling-up box inside of pipe entrance of said pipe brick; a fixing step that fixes the filling-up box to the interior of pipe wall through above precision part by filling up; a pipe connection step that installs pipe to be induced to the pipe installation entrances of pipe wall and pipe installation groove of pipe wall and connects pipe to above filling up box; a gap filling step that finishes the work by filling the empty space of incision part where the pipe wall installed with pipe and incision parts of pipe wall which is installed with filling up box with cement and mortar.

[Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention]
The brick for pipe laying of the present invention is in a rectangular- hexadron shape that is designed to make it easy for the pipe to go in and out of the body of pipe by forming the pipe entrance or pipe groove, it is installed between the standard bricks during mason work but, at the path of piping. Also, for the pipe construction of pre-existing old buildings, it can be used by demolishing the original bricks then, install the bricks of present invention between them so that it could guide the pipe; Therefore, in comparison to the pipe work by drilling the existing wall or laying the bricks after installing the pipes, this method can reduce substantially the work load and the overall expenditure such as labor and material cost that is associated with such work as well as, reduces the required working hours that help complete the construction well within the intended period. As illustrated in Fig 2 and 3, the brick for pipe laying of the present invention which is in a rectangular hexadron shape is comprised of a body (10) that fills to the right place where the pipe passes; a pipe installation entrance (20) which is formed to go through one side of said body (10); which is installed for the pipe (30) to go through the said pipe installation entrance (20) which provides an easy pipe construction environment.
The said body is formed in a rectangular hexadron shape, the same as the regular bricks. Mass production of said body (10) with standard size is possible, and in order to be compatible with the standard bricks, it is ideal to form them with the size of length (a) * width (b) * thickness (c) of 255mm * 90mm * 124mm, respectively. Thus, lay 4 standard bricks on the length (a) direction and apply adhesive such as mortar to fill the gap then, the length is identical to the regular bricks so that it helps carry out the mason work more precisely and conveniently. However, it can also be interchanged with the conventional bricks with the size of 210mm * 100mm * 60mm or a variety of other exterior structure of building construction, as well. Also, as illustrated in Fig. 4a, it can be used by forming the length (a) of body (10) approximately to the half. Therefore, when constructing the pipes by separating them that have different use, it is efficient to connect two halved body and use them.
The said pipe installation entrance (20) is formed by going through the side of said body (10). It is ideal to form the pipe installation entrance's (20) upper and lower part to an arch shape to enhance the destructive power of block itself. The pipe entrance (20) has to be formed by distancing it at least 25mm from the upper and lower part of said body (10). That is, in case the length (a) of said body (10) is 255mm, the length (d) of pipe installation entrance (20) should be 205 after leaving 25mm each to distance it from upper and lower part of body (10) so that it does not break due to the heavy load of brick.
Also, the pipe installation entrance (20) is ideal to be formed by distancing it at least 25mm from the left and right of above body (10). That is, in case the width (b) of said body (10) is 90mm, the width (e) of pipe installation entrance (20) should be 40mm after leaving 25mm each to distance it from the left and right so that it prevents the breaking due to the heavy load of block. The pipe installation entrance (20) is formed to allow all kinds of pipes (30) such as water pipe, electric pipe, communicational pipe, etc to go in and out easily, so it is constructed, through the side of exterior wall that is completed with the mason work, for the pipes to reach the destination easily. As illustrated in Fig. 3, by placing the brick for pipe laying of present invention in a row, it can be used efficiency on the pipe (30) that passes horizontally. Between blocks, an adhesive (31) such as mortar is used which is the same as the conventional method.
Also, other characteristics of present invention is that, the above pipe installation entrance (20) is formed two or several of them thus, it is possible to construct other pipes (30) such as the water pipe, communicational pipe and electric pipe to pass each of pipe installation entrances (20).
As illustrated in Fig. 4b, by forming two of pipe installation entrances (20a) (20b) on the side of body (10) each, each of said pipe installation entrances (20a) (20b) can pass other types of pipes (30) inside of regular wall unit where all kinds of wires such as internet cables, water pipe tubes, and etc. are interchangeable to each other during construction. Forming a separate pipe entrances, therefore, has an advantage of organizing the variety of pipes neatly.
Also, according to other characteristics of present invention, the said pipe installation entrance (20) can accommodate a number of pipes inside and also adjust the size of pipe installation entrance (20) to fit other facilities that have different sizes such as electric box, filling-up type toilet water tank, aircon box, filling-up gas box and etc.
Also, as illustrated in Fig. 4c, when form the size of each pipe entrances (20a) (20b) differently, it helps all kinds of pipes (30) to be organized efficiently by corresponding to their different sizes during construction work.
In accordance to other characteristics of present invention, the said body (10) is cut to the box size that fills from the front of the body to the upper and lower part of pipe installation entrance (20) to form the incision part (50) that opens to the front, and locate the blocks with the said incision (50) between the blocks that are laid in a row during the construction, and install the filling-up box with the said incision parts (50).
As illustrated in Fig. 5a, 5b, the said incision part (50) is cut from the front of body to the upper and lower part of pipe installation entrance (20), but it is cut in accordance to the size of box that needs to be filled. Fig. 6 illustrates the water dwelling (41) that supplies hot/cold water by connecting to the hot/cold pipe (32) (33) that is fixed to the interior of wall unit through the said incision part (5)). Thus, it can help fix the structure of water dwelling, electric box and etc. through the said incision part (50) that can be open more easily, and by doing so, building the separate reinforcement rod to fix the structure becomes unnecessary. Also, in accordance to other characteristics of the present invention, the said body (10) is formed with incision groove (71)(72) that is induced to the horizontal direction at the front upper and lower part, the said pipe installation entrance (20) is formed with a fragmented groove (73) to the horizontal direction at the center of interior of side wall that is formed with said incision groove (71X72), and by cutting the said incision (71)(72) it makes it easy to form the incision part (50).
As illustrated in Fig. 5c, the said incision groove (71) (72) is formed on the upper and lower part of body (10) to make it easy to form, that means, it induces to the same line as upper and lower part of pipe installation entrance (20) by placing a chisel on the incision groove (71) (72) and hit it with hammer which makes the cutting work very easy. The said fragmented groove (72) is formed in the center of body (10) so that it is easy to fragment the bricks.
The present invention provides a brick for pipe laying that has the characteristics of a body (10) that is formed as a rectangular-haxadron shape that is filled in the right path for the pipe", a pipe installation groove (60) that is formed in a multi-level on one side of the above body (10A); depending on the pipe location or method, building the said body (10) by laying the bricks on top- bottom-left-right enables the pipe (30) to go in and out of the pipe installation groove (60) so that it provides an easy pipe construction environment.
As illustrated in Fig. 7, the said pipe installation groove (60) is formed from the end of front part of said body (10A) and is induced to inside and cut at certain depth. Thus, the brick for pipe laying of present invention has an L shape when the pipe installation groove (60) is placed on the ground facing upwards. The depth (d) of pipe installation groove (60) has a variety of form but, considering the strength of brick it is ideal to form it 40mm ~45mm thick. That is, the depth (d) of pipe installation groove (60) should be half of the width (b) of body (10). The length (e) of pipe installation groove (60) is ideal to be 95mm, the half -length (a) of body (10).
The said body (10A) is formed in a rectangular hexadron shape, the same as the regular bricks. Mass production of said body (10A) with standard size is possible, and in order to be compatible with the standard bricks, it is ideal to form them with the size (length (a) * width (b) * thickness (c)) of 190mm * 90mm * 57mm respectively. Thus, for the thickness (c) direction, lay 2 standard bricks and apply adhesive such as mortar to fill the gap then, the length is identical to the regular bricks that it can carry out the mason work more precisely and conveniently. However, it can also be interchanged with the conventional bricks with the size of 210mm * 100mm * 60mm or a variety of other exterior structure of building construction, as well.
As illustrated in Fig. 8a, the thickness (c) of said body (10A) is formed to be 57mm to match with the thickness of regular bricks so that the mason work can be carried out at an equal level, and also to promote the efficient construction work by bridging the gap between the brick of pipe laying of present invention and the regular bricks. The brick for pipe laying of present invention with 124mm thickness can be cut to 57mm at the construction site so that it can be used for a variety of applications.
Also, as illustrated in Fig. 8b, the length (e) of pipe installation groove
(60) of 140mm can be adjusted to the condition, number and type of pipe appropriately. As such, the depth (d) and the length (e) of pipe installation groove
(60) can be adjusted to the size in accordance to the type and kind of pipe so that it has a wider extent of application.
The detailed explanation for the installation by giving an ideal example of practical use of brick for pipe laying of the present invention is as follows. As illustrated in Fig. 9a, by laying the bricks for pipe laying of the present invention vertically, it can be used to pipe (30) that pass vertically.
