La présente invention concerne un robot ménager (1) comportant un point d'accouplement pour un bol mélangeur (2) équipé d'un couvercle (3) conçu pour recouvrir le bol mélangeur (2), un arbre qui est entraîné par un moteur du robot ménager (1) et qui se trouve au point d'accouplement, un dispositif de commutation (25) qui peut interrompre une alimentation en courant du moteur, ainsi qu'un dispositif de détection (6) qui comprend un élément (14) conçu pour détecter le couvercle (3) et un élément d'actionnement (17) conçu pour actionner le dispositif de commutation (25). Le dispositif de détection (6) comprend également un élément (18) conçu pour détecter le bol mélangeur (2). Lesdits éléments (14, 17, 18) coopèrent les uns avec les autres et/ou avec le dispositif de commutation (25) de manière que le moteur ne peut être alimenté en courant que lorsque le bol mélangeur (2) est monté sur le point d'accouplement et que le couvercle (3) est monté sur le bol mélangeur. Cette invention est avantageuse en ce qu'elle permet de prévenir des blessures provoquées lors d'une manipulation non conforme du robot ménager. Elle permet également d'intégrer tous les composants de commutation électriques du robot ménager sur une seule carte de circuits imprimés. En outre, elle permet de freiner rapidement le moteur de manière simple lorsque des appareils de traitement sont retirés du robot ménager quand ce dernier est en service.
