  • An insulating window or door is composed of a sash fixed to a wall and a window or door frame hingedly coupled to the sash.
  • an architectural stainless steel plate used for manufacturing the insulating window or door is commercially available in the market in a standardized dimension with a width of Im and a length of 3m or 4m.

  • a large amount of residue and debris is generated in the course of cutting the stainless steel plate with a standardized width of Im to manufacture the window and door frames, which contributes to an increase in both the manufacturing cost and resource consumption.
  • a bending process is performed in such a fashion that a stainless steel plate portion cut in a V-shape by a blade of a bending machine is pressed sequentially to allow an angle defined by the pressed portion to match to a desired angle, the blade of the bending machine is replaced by a new one depending on the state of the frame to bend the plate while sequentially turning the plate upside down to thereby form a final window and door frame. Also, there may be occurred an increase in a defective ratio and a difference in production capability and product quality depending on the proficiency of a craftsman. Nevertheless, a sole method of processing a window and door frame for windows is the conventional bending process by the bending machine.
