The present invention relates to a method for tabletting a disc cleaner concentrate in tablet form according to the preamble of the main claim, the presentation of such tabletted disc cleaner concentrates and a disc cleaner concentrate in tablet form produced in this way.

It is known to add disc cleaner concentrates in liquid form to the window cleaner container of a motor vehicle (see, for example, www.autosol.de).

It is also known to add disc cleaner concentrates in tablet form to the wash water of a motor vehicle storage tank.

The articles available at www.westfalia.de, article number 369 579, are tablets about 8 grams in weight, which are intended for about 2.5 liters of washing liquid.

The problem is that these tablets are just too big and too heavy. If, for example, as is customary with certain vehicle types, one wishes to produce about 7 to 10 liters of window cleaning liquid, then correspondingly three to four such large tablets are required for this purpose. From the invention, there is the advantage that the disc cleaner concentrate is very precisely metered for the amount of wash water present in each case, the tablet size generated in each case easily fits into the filling opening of any conventional washing water tank.

It must therefore not be handled with excessively large compacts to provide the wash water with the cleaner concentrate.

The compacts, for example, based on one to three liters of washing liquid, with a thickness of up to about 10 mm, a diameter up to about 15 mm occupy. In one embodiment, the tablet has dimensioned for about 1 1 of water, a volume of about 0.5 cm ^3. It is therefore relatively small, easy to handle tablets that can be dosed easily.

The essential aspect of the invention is based on a surfactant content of more than 40% based on the raw material used.

Thus, up to 16 times as much weight percent of surfactants are included as in the prior art tabs noted above.

This advantage is achieved in that the surfactants necessary for cleaning the windows are first of all evaporated to dry consistency.

However, to this extent the addition of a water-soluble inert substance to the aqueous surfactant solution is of essential importance.

This inert material must be such that it forms a complex with the surfactant without chemically reacting with the surfactant.

This complex can be evaporated to a dry powder, which can then be compressed into tablets in conjunction with citric acid and sodium bicarbonate. The water-soluble inert material added to the aqueous surfactant solution forms a complex with the surfactants on a molecular basis without reacting with it.

The term "inert substance" refers in this respect to the fact that the surfactants and the inert substance precisely no chemical reaction takes place, but only a complex compound.

The evaporation of this complex is brought about in an advantageous embodiment of the invention by a process step in which under a temperature in the order of 50-60 °, a negative pressure of about up to 40 mbar is generated.

Under this vacuum, the water contained in the surfactant solution, which is supplied together with the inert material of the vacuum chamber, evaporate and be sucked off via a corresponding pump.

In that regard, this development of the invention is to be distinguished from the spray-drying, which is not very suitable for the invention.

In spray drying, namely, a considerable amount of water will remain, so that this concentrate is not compressible.

This differs from the vacuum drying also inasmuch as it offers the possibility to keep the substrate, consisting of the solution in solution surfactant and added water-soluble inert material via continuous mixing using mixing blades, possibly also with blades in the vacuum container continuously in motion in this way to bring about a homogeneous powdery dry substance that is easily tablettierbar. In this case, in contrast to the spray-drying process, a very high surfactant content of more than 40% can be achieved. Nevertheless, tabletting is at this high surfactant content.

In this case, the amount of citric acid can be up to about 35 percent by weight.

Thus, since all additions are water-soluble, there is no need for water-insoluble tabletting excipients such as magnesium stearate, cellulose or disintegrant.

The tablet according to the invention dissolves completely in water and all commercially available alcohol-containing antifreezes to 100%.

Furthermore, owing to the water-soluble properties, antifreeze materials do not have to be introduced into the tablets.

So it is the concentrate of the surfactants pulverized together with the inert material and possibly also the aggregates.

The surfactants are originally in aqueous solution and are then concentrated by evaporation together with the inert material accordingly.

Before or afterwards, the necessary aggregates, which are also present in dry consistency, can be added.

The mixture can already during drying or even later by conventional means also simply mix, before it is pressed in a corresponding tabletting machine. Preferably, the disc cleaner concentrate is in a tablet form containing not more than 10 g, preferably not more than 5 g, of the mixed dried substrate.

In a further development of the invention, the individual tablet may also have no more than 2 g and would then be for half the amount of the basic volume of e.g. 2 liters of washing liquid to use.

The additive sodium bicarbonate together with citric acid quickly dissolves bubbly and evenly in water, so that despite a high density of the tablets almost immediately after filling the washing water, the entire tablet contents went into solution.

In addition, sodium bicarbonate, together with citric acid, also has a certain cleaning effect, so that the surfactants contained as active ingredient are also assisted in their cleaning action. *

In addition, it is also possible to add color pigments, preferably color pigments, which correspond to the main dyeing of a previously determined customer group.

This measure serves the purpose to offer the consumer individually colored tablets for sale, which fit into the product image of the respective provider due to their coloring - monochrome or multicolor.

In addition to this, it is also possible to incorporate fragrances, for example perfume oils, in order to also attribute the olfactory sense of the purchaser to the intended use of these tablets. Furthermore, it is also possible with the predetermined method to produce tablets which do not have to be provided with a circular cross-section. For example, the tablets may have the outer contour of a scallop, a rhombus, a shield, or the like.

This measure serves the purpose of documenting the corporate identity of a particular provider by means of the correspondingly contoured tablets.

The use of a presentation in the form of a blister pack also offers the advantage of child safety because children can not usually open such blister packaging without further.

Of course, without such a blister pack, the tablet according to the invention can also be sold in a tablet tube.

Through the use of a so-called template stamp pair, which is introduced on both sides into a corresponding perforated plate, such tablets can be produced with a smooth surface, which is particularly suitable for clearly reproducing details of company logos as well.

Due to the high pressing pressure in such a tablet press, the ingredients of the tablets are so strongly compressed that on the smooth surface no attack possibilities for germs or for the absorption of moisture and therefore can be dispensed with the addition of preservatives.

In this case, tablets were produced under a corresponding compression pressure whose density was about 2.5 g per cubic centimeter. Even such tablets were still slightly soluble in water and still small in volume at the desired high cleaning performance.

Nevertheless, the tablet is dissolved in the wash water as soon as possible by the use of sodium bicarbonate with citric acid alone.

Furthermore, it is recommended to choose the tablet form so large that it together with a predetermined amount of water, also called base volume, for example 2 liters, has a sufficient cleaning effect.

Unless otherwise stated below, the following description applies to all figures.

The windscreen washer tank of a motor vehicle is equipped on site with a tableted form according to the invention of a window cleaner concentrate.

Afterwards or before, the container is filled with usual tap water. It is essential that the pane cleaner concentrate is tabletted and consists of a concentrate of evaporated surfactants previously present in aqueous solution, which were mixed with an inert material, for example with sugar, so that the dry consistency of the tablet 100 contains substantially highly concentrated surfactant.

These surfactants, which are present in the evaporated concentrate of the original solution, including the inert material, which must be water-soluble, may be admixed with additives which were preferably also present in dry consistency.

These aggregates are pulverized together with the evaporated concentrate in dry consistency and mixed so that a prepared batch of such tablets 100 has a homogeneous quality.

According to the invention, such a tablet 100 should not weigh more than 10 g, preferably not more than 5 g or, as a 1/2 dosage, not more than 2 g. ^' >

It has been shown that with the present method

Tablets 100 can be produced which are suitable for about 1 liter of washing liquid at about 4 g in weight; correspondingly, a tablet 100 of up to about 2 g in weight would be suitable for about 1/2 liter of washing liquid.

These relationships are linear and tablets 100 can readily be used which are intended for up to about 2 to 4 liters of washing liquid, or e.g. for trucks at 30 cubic centimeters volume for 65 liters

It is also essential that in addition to the evaporated surfactants 1 sodium bicarbonate is present in order to dissolve the tablet 100 in the added water quickly bubbling. Citric acid may also be present as a further additive which, together with sodium bicarbonate, has a supplementary cleaning action.

Furthermore, color pigments, fragrances or antifreeze additives can be provided in order to assign further functions to the tablet 100 according to the invention.

This results in the advantage that the recognition value of such products, e.g. can be preprogrammed via the respectively recognizable color.

So could e.g. be provided to equip such tablets 100 in red color with high concentrations of active ingredients, with green color with low concentrations, etc.

In addition, such a tablet 100 may also be provided in the contour of the logo of a particular provider, a provider chain or the like.

In addition, the arrangement of these tablets 100 in a blister pack is of essential importance. This measure not only serves the purpose of keeping the individual tablets 100 completely dry from environmental influences, but also of child safety, as already mentioned.

Since the tablets 100 preferably contain sodium bicarbonate, they are also hydrophilic.

For this reason, the blister pack also lends itself, because then each individual tablet 100 is accommodated in a self-contained volume which protects against environmental moisture. The illustrated tablets 100 have a diameter of not more than about 20 mm at a thickness of not more than 15 mm.

Depending on the conditions, the thickness may also be less than 10 mm with a diameter of less than 15 mm.

When such tablets 100 are manufactured by a die pair known in the art, the pressing pressures are so high that the surfaces become smooth.

This also offers the advantage that easily stamped company stamps or marks can be pressed into the surface by appropriately contoured die stamp.

Namely, the pressing pressures which can be generated with such matrix die pairs are significantly higher than the pressures which can be achieved via associated pairs of press rolls.

In addition, Fig. 2 shows schematically the process steps for the production of the product according to the invention.

An in-solution surfactant 1 and an inert water-soluble substance 2 are combined.

This mixture can be provided before or after the combination with individual additives 3a, 3b, 3c, whereby it is in principle irrelevant at which point the additives are added.

What is essential in this respect is a process temperature which is above the ambient temperature in order to assist the evaporation of the liquid present in the mixture. Furthermore, a per se known mixing device is arranged within the drying container 4, which is rotationally driven via an electric motor 9 arranged outside the container.

Such a mixing device 8 has, for example, mixing vanes 10, which, however, can also be designed such that the processed mixture is constantly broken through during the evaporation process. If the additives 3a-3c are in liquid form, they must be introduced into the drying container 4 before the mixture is introduced.

If the additives are in powder form, they can be introduced into the drying container 4 before the introduction of the mixture, or possibly also afterwards.

In any case, the dried intermediate product 12 leaving the drying container 4, which is in powdered compressible substance, can then be further processed in a tableting machine.

For this purpose serves a rotating die 13, which has corresponding holes.

The holes may be brought into aligned positions at those locations where the tableting machine has a die pair 14 and 15, respectively.

If the holes are filled with the intermediate product 12 to be pressed, then the die-stamp pairs 14, 15 are brought toward one another and the intermediate product 12 located in the holes is compressed in such a way that ultimately a tablet-finished product is formed.

However, this method is state of the art, so that reference is made to the prior art for all details not mentioned here.
