Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for removing a varix, in particular a lateral spastic vein, having a handle provided on a handle which has a working edge for detaching the varicose vein from the surrounding tissue at its end-side insertion end.
  • the procedure is generally such that the varicose vein to be removed is pulled through a skin incision in front of the skin and severed, in order then to remove the varicose vein as far as possible by pulling and turning it from the surrounding tissue. Since the tensile strength of the varicose veins may be less than the withdrawal resistance, there is a risk that the varicose vein tears and piece by piece must be removed, which causes additional skin incisions and extends the operation time. To reduce the Ausziehwiderstandes of the lateral spastic veins is therefore often trying to solve the varices to be removed with the help of a spatula from the surrounding tissue or to loosen.
  • the spatula inserted through the skin incision can not be accurately guided in such cases, so that the risk of injury to small nerve branches is given, which can lead to protracted sensory disturbances in their supply area.
