Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for removing a varix, in particular a lateral spastic vein, having a handle provided on a handle which has a working edge for detaching the varicose vein from the surrounding tissue at its end-side insertion end.
- the procedure is generally such that the varicose vein to be removed is pulled through a skin incision in front of the skin and severed, in order then to remove the varicose vein as far as possible by pulling and turning it from the surrounding tissue. Since the tensile strength of the varicose veins may be less than the withdrawal resistance, there is a risk that the varicose vein tears and piece by piece must be removed, which causes additional skin incisions and extends the operation time. To reduce the Ausziehwiderstandes of the lateral spastic veins is therefore often trying to solve the varices to be removed with the help of a spatula from the surrounding tissue or to loosen.
- the spatula inserted through the skin incision can not be accurately guided in such cases, so that the risk of injury to small nerve branches is given, which can lead to protracted sensory disturbances in their supply area.
- the prior art also includes devices (DE 35 25 917 A1, DE 197 54 779 A1, FR 2 824 467 A1, GB 2 195 540 A, US 2004/0215226 A1), which have a cutting ring at the end-side insertion end of a handle provided with a handle, so that the pulled through the cutting ring varix with the help of the cutting ring can be cut free.
- the disadvantage is that the cutting ring must be guided over the stem exactly along the varix, in order to prevent the varicose vein is cut early. However, this means that the course of the varicose vein must be known as accurately as possible, which is generally not the case.
- the invention is thus based on the object of improving a device of the type described above for removing a varicose vein, in particular a lateral spasm vein, so that the risk of premature severance can be eliminated, even if the course of the varicose vein to be removed is not exactly known is.
- a risk of injury to neighboring nerve branches should be excluded as far as possible.
- the invention achieves the stated object in that the stem forms a gutter profile which can be introduced along the varicose vein to be removed, with a trough groove which receives the varicose vein detached from the surrounding tissue.
- the proposed gutter profile forms a working edge for detaching the varicose vein to be removed from the surrounding tissue, which is cut free by the working edge but much freed
- the varicose to be removed is not only removed from the surrounding tissue with the aid of the working edge, but at the same time taken up by the gutter profile, which is thus guided by the varicose vein to be removed, so that the exact course of the varicose vein to be removed from the outside need not be recognizable to advance the gutter profile along the varicose vein to be removed in a length, which is the varicose vein segment to be removed equivalent.
- varicose vein to be removed are pulled through a skin incision in front of the skin and cut before the gutter profile by means of his handle attached to the pulled before the skin varicose and with held, cut end of the varix along this through the skin incision preferably with a rotation around the Profile axis is advanced. Thereafter, the varicose need only be separated in the region of the insertion end of the gutter profile in order to take them out without tensile load in one piece together with the gutter profile.
- the gutter profile may have an insertion leading to a sleeve sleeve portion which is mounted on the insertion end or pivotally mounted about a pivot axis parallel to the sleeve axis on the gutter profile ,
- the channel profile only needs to be attached to the varicose to be removed, then to supplement the insertion end of the channel profile with a corresponding sleeve portion to a sleeve by this sleeve portion is either plugged onto the insertion end or pivoted about the insertion end.
- FIG. 1 shows a device according to the invention for removing a varicose vein in a simplified side view
- FIG. 2 shows this device in an axially normal section along the line H-II of FIG. 1 on a larger scale
- FIG. 3 shows a section along the line III-III of Fig. 2.
- the illustrated device for removing a varix, in particular a lateral spastic vein has a groove profile 2 inserted in a handle 1, which forms a sleeve 3 at its insertion end.
- This sleeve 3 is composed of the channel profile 2 and the channel profile 2 complementary sleeve portion 4, which is hinged to the channel profile 2 about an axis extending in the direction of a longitudinal edge of the channel profile 2 axis.
- the channel profile 2 is made of plastic, so that the joint between the channel profile 2 and the sleeve portion 4 can be formed by a film hinge 5.
- a closure 6 is provided, with the aid of which the sleeve section 4 can be connected to the channel profile 2 in the closed position.
- the insertion end of the channel profile forms a working edge 7, as shown in FIG. 3 can be removed.
- This working edge 7, which forms no sharp edge, but a scraping edge, extends at the front end of the sleeve 3 over the entire sleeve circumference. Therefore, when the sleeve portion 4 is closed around a varicose vein to be removed, the trough profile 2 can be advanced with the insertion side sleeve 4 along the varicose vein, the varicose vein being loosened from the surrounding tissue in a simple manner, especially if the working edge to a limited extent around the Axis of the channel profile 2 is rotated back and forth.
- the varicose vein forms while a guide for the channel profile 2, the trough receives the dissolved from the tissue varicose veins. For this reason, it is advisable to adapt the diameter of the trough to the core diameter.
- the insertion end of the channel profile 2 can be set with the sleeve portion 4 open and the sleeve portion 4 closed around the varicose vein end. It only needs to be advanced then the gutter profile 2 with the help of his handle 1 along the varix with a slight back and forth rotation through the skin incision to release the varicose vein along its portion to be removed from the surrounding tissue. After severing the varicose vein in the region of the insertion end of the channel profile 2, the channel profile 2 can then be pulled out together with the varicose vein located in the profile channel.
