Abstract

La présente invention concerne de nouveaux composites qui incorporent des nanosphères de carbone dans un matériau polymère. Le matériau polymère peut être n'importe quel polymère ou matériau polymérisable compatible avec des matériaux graphitiques. Les nanosphères de carbone sont des nanoparticules graphitiques creuses. Les nanosphères de carbone peuvent être fabriquées à partir d'un précurseur carboné en employant des nanoparticules catalytiques servant de gabarit. Les caractéristiques uniques de taille, de forme et de propriétés électriques des nanosphères de carbone confèrent des propriétés avantageuses aux composites incorporant ces nanomatériaux.
