  • an interior coating or an exterior coating may be applied to one or more of the components of ihc plumbing trap system 10, 40.
  • the interior coating may be a friction-reducing or turbulence-reducing coating or a noise barrier.
  • the exterior coaling may be, for example, a noise barrier or other sound absorbing material.
  • the geometry of the components of plumbing trap system 10, 40 may be adapted to further attenuate the noise emanating from drain 14. 44. It should be appreciated that any one or more of the components of the plumbing trap system 10, may be incorporated into the second draining device 22, 52.

  • an interior coating and/or exterior coating may be provided to at least a portion of discharge pipe 20, 50 to muffle or reduce further the level of noise that may be transmitted thiough pipe 28, 58
  • an interior coating 60 and/or exterior coating 62 may also be provided to first trap 18, 48.
  • the second trap 26. 56 is shown as part of the plumbing trap systems 10, 40 in the embodiments described in the above paragraphs and illustrated in FIGURES i and 2. the use of the second trap 26, 56 is optional.
  • the first trap 18. 48 allows to reduce or substantially eliminate noise, originating from draining waste material from the second draining device 22, 52 and emanating from the drain 14, 44, with or without the use of second trap 26, 56.
  • the second trap 26, 56 is used in the above embodiments simply as an odor barrier device to block any undesirable odors that may travel through the discharge pipe 20, 50 and through pipe 28, 58 into the second draining device 22, 52. It must be appreciated that other odor barrier devices can be used instead of or in addition to ihe second trap 26, 56. Alternatively, an odor barrier may not be necessary at all.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de plomberie permettant de drainer les déchets d'un premier appareil de drainage et d'un deuxième appareil de drainage dans un tuyau d'évacuation, comprenant un premier siphon en communication avec l'air ambiant et conçu pour recevoir les déchets s'écoulant du premier appareil de drainage. Le système de plomberie comprend de plus une conduite de fluide permettant le transfert de fluide entre le second appareil de drainage et le tuyau d'évacuation et conçue pour drainer les déchets du second appareil de drainage dans le tuyau d'évacuation. Les dimensions de la conduite de fluide sont inférieures aux dimensions du tuyau d'évacuation. Les déchets s'écoulant dans le premier siphon s'écoulent du premier siphon dans le tuyau d'évacuation.
