Abstract
A plumbing system, for draining waste material from each of a first draining device and a second draining device into a discharge pipe, includes a first trap in communication with open air and adapted to receive the waste material draining from the first draining device. The plumbing system further includes a fluid conduit providing fluid communication between the second draining device and the discharge pipe and adapted to drain waste material from the second draining device into the discharge pipe. The fluid conduit has a dimension smaller than a dimension of the discharge pipe. The waste material draining into the first trap drains from the first trap into the discharge pipe.
Description
- The present application claims the benefit of U.S. Provisional Application No. 07/784,470, filed Mar. 22, 2006, which is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.
- The present invention relates to plumbing systems in general and more particularly to a plumbing trap system.
- An aspect of the present invention is to provide a plumbing system including a first draining device and a second draining device, a first trap in communication with the first draining device through a first drain pipe, a discharge pipe in communication with the first trap, and a second drain pipe in communication with the second draining device and in communication with the discharge pipe. The first draining device is adapted to drain waste material through the first drain pipe, then through the first trap into the discharge pipe, and the second draining device is adapted to drain waste material through the second drain pipe into the discharge pipe. A dimension of the second drain pipe is smaller than a dimension of the discharge pipe.
- Another aspect of the present invention is to provide a plumbing system for draining waste material from each of a first draining device and a second draining device into a discharge pipe. The plumbing system includes a first trap in communication with open air and adapted to receive the waste material draining from the first draining device. The plumbing system further includes a fluid conduit providing fluid communication between the second draining device and the discharge pipe and adapted to drain waste material from the second draining device into the discharge pipe. The fluid conduit has a dimension smaller than a dimension of the discharge pipe. The waste material draining into the first trap drains from the first trap into the discharge pipe.
- Yet another aspect of the present invention is to provide a plumbing system for draining waste material from each of an open air draining device and a noise originating draining device into a discharge pipe. The plumbing system includes a first trap in communication with open air and adapted to receive the waste material draining from the open air draining device. The plumbing system further includes a fluid conduit providing fluid communication between the noise originating draining device and the discharge pipe, the fluid conduit being adapted to drain waste material from the noise originating draining device into the discharge pipe. The waste material draining into the first trap drains from the first trap into the discharge pipe. The first trap substantially prevents noise, originating from draining waste material from the noise originating draining device into the fluid conduit, from reaching the open air draining device.

FIG. 1 is a schematic representation of a plumbing trap system, according to an embodiment of the invention. Theplumbing trap system 10 includes a firstdraining device 12. Thedraining device 12 can be, for example, a sink, a bathtub or the like. The firstdraining device 12 includes adrain 14. Thedrain 14 is open to air and is in fluid communication with afirst drain pipe 16. Theplumbing trap system 10 further includes afirst plumbing trap 18, such as a sanitary trap, in communication withfirst drain pipe 16 and adischarge pipe 20. Thefirst trap 18 is connected to thefirst drain pipe 16 through input end 16A of the first trap 18 (for example, using a plumbing connector, joint, or the like). Thefirst trap 18 is further connected to thedischarge pipe 20 throughdischarge end 16B of the first trap 18 (for example, using a plumbing connector, joint, or the like). Thedischarge pipe 20 is in turn feeding into, for example, the municipal sewer system, a septic tank or the like, not shown. Thefirst trap 18 can be any commercially available sanitary trap, including, but not limited to, a U-shaped sanitary trap, a S-shaped sanitary trap, a partitioned sanitary trap, etc. Alternatively, thefirst trap 18 can be, for example, a one-way fluid valve that allows the waste water to flow in one direction but blocks unwanted odors in the opposite direction. - Although the
first trap 18 is described herein as being an independent device connected tofirst drain pipe 16 anddischarge pipe 20, it must be appreciated that thefirst trap 18 can be provided as an integral piece withfirst drain pipe 16 and/ordischarge pipe 20. For example, thefirst drain pipe 16 and thefirst trap 18 can be formed from of a one-piece of pipe. Alternatively or in addition, thefirst trap 18 and thedischarge pipe 20 can also be formed from a one-piece of pipe. Thedrain pipe 16, thedischarge pipe 20 and thefirst trap 18 can be formed from a same material or different materials (for example, plastic, metal, etc.) - The
plumbing trap system 10 further includes a seconddraining device 22. The seconddraining device 22 can be, for example, a dishwasher, a washing machine, or other household or commercial appliances. For example, seconddraining device 22 can be a device that generates noise during draining. The seconddraining device 22 drains through adrain tube 24. Theplumbing trap system 10 also includes an optionalsecond plumbing trap 26, such as a sanitary trap. Thesecond trap 26 is in communication with thedrain tube 24 and asecond drain pipe 28. Thesecond trap 26 is connected to thedrain tube 24 throughinput end 26A of thesecond trap 26 and is connected to thesecond drain pipe 28 throughoutput end 26B of the second trap 26 (using, for example, a plumbing connector, joint, or the like). Thesecond drain pipe 28 is in turn in communication with thedischarge pipe 20 throughdischarge port 29. Thesecond drain pipe 28 can have the same diameter or a different diameter (smaller or larger) than thedischarge pipe 20. In an embodiment of the present invention, thesecond drain pipe 28 is selected to have a smaller diameter than a diameter of thedischarge pipe 20. Similar to thefirst trap 18, thesecond trap 26 can be any commercially available sanitary trap, including, but not limited to, a U-shaped sanitary trap, a S-shaped sanitary trap, a partitioned sanitary trap, etc. Alternatively, thesecond trap 26 can be, for example, a one-way fluid valve that allows the waste water to flow in one direction but blocks unwanted odors in the opposite direction. - Although the
second trap 26 is described herein as being an independent device that is connected to thedrain tube 24 and thesecond drain pipe 28, it must be appreciated that thesecond trap 26 can be provided as an integral piece withdrain tube 24 and/or an integral piece withsecond drain pipe 28. For example, thesecond trap 26 and thedrain tube 24 can be formed from of a one-piece of pipe. Alternatively or in addition, thesecond trap 26 and thesecond drain pipe 28 can also be formed from a one-piece of pipe. Thedrain tube 24, thesecond drain pipe 28 and thetrap 26 can be formed from a same material or from different materials (for example, plastic, metal, etc.). - In operation, waste water and other waste material from the first
draining device 12 drains through thedrain 14, then down thefirst drain pipe 16, then through thefirst trap 18, and then through thedischarge pipe 20 into the municipal sewer system, the septic tank or the like. In an embodiment of the invention, thedischarge pipe 20 is positioned substantially vertically so as to enhance flow of waste water and other waste material once the waste water and the waste materials have passed through thefirst trap 18. - Waste water and other waste material flowing from second
draining device 22 flows throughdrain pipe 24, then throughsecond trap 26, then throughsecond drain pipe 28, and then throughdischarge pipe 20 into the municipal sewer system, septic tank or the like. In an embodiment of the invention, thesecond drain pipe 28 can be connected to thedischarge pipe 20 in a manner so that waste water and other waste materials originating from the first drainingdevice 12 does not flow into thesecond drain pipe 28 and hence into thesecond trap 26 so as to prevent clogging in thesecond trap 26. For example, in an embodiment of the invention, thesecond drain pipe 28 can be connected at an angle (indicated inFIG. 1 by a double arrow) of less than approximately 90° relative to vertical axis AA. - A
pump 30 can be provided to the seconddraining device 22 to enable or enhance the flow of waste water and other waste materials from the seconddraining device 22 into thedischarge pipe 20 and ultimately into the municipal sewer system, the septic tank or the like. For example, thepump 30 can be connected in line withdrain pipe 24, as shown inFIG. 1 . However, it must be appreciated that thepump 30 can be placed in another location, for example provided inside the seconddraining device 22. - In the
plumbing trap system 10, noise that may be generated by the drainage of waste water and other waste materials from the seconddraining device 22 into thedischarge pipe 20 and would otherwise emanate from thedrain 14 in the firstdraining device 12 can be reduced or substantially eliminated by thefirst trap 18. Indeed, any noise generated by the seconddraining device 22 and that may emanate from thedrain 14 in the firstdraining device 12 can be reduced or substantially eliminated by the “water” present in thefirst trap 18 which, in addition of playing the role of an odor barrier, acts also as a sound attenuator or barrier. -
FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of plumbing trap system, according to another embodiment of the present invention. Theplumbing trap system 40 is similar in many aspects to theplumbing trap system 10 depicted inFIG. 1 . However, theplumbing trap system 40 presents also some distinct features. - The
plumbing trap system 40 includes afirst draining device 42. The drainingdevice 42 can be, for example, a sink, a bathtub, or the like. Thefirst draining device 42 includes adrain 44. Thedrain 44 is open to air and is in fluid communication with afirst drain pipe 46. Theplumbing trap system 40 further includes afirst plumbing trap 48, such as a sanitary trap, in communication withfirst drain pipe 46 and with adischarge pipe 50. Thedischarge pipe 50 is in turn feeding into, for example, the municipal sewer system, a septic tank or the like, not shown. Thefirst trap 48 can be any commercially available sanitary trap, including, but not limited to, a U-shaped sanitary trap, a S-shaped sanitary trap, a partitioned sanitary trap, etc. Alternatively, thefirst trap 48 can be, for example, a one-way fluid valve that allows the waste water to flow in one direction but blocks unwanted odors in the opposite direction. - In this embodiment, the
first trap 48 is provided as an integral one-piece of pipe (for example, a flexible plastic pipe) with thefirst drain pipe 46 and thedischarge pipe 50. However, it must be appreciated that thefirst trap 48 can be provided as an independent piece that can be connected, via plumbing connectors, joints or the like, tofirst drain pipe 46 anddischarge pipe 50, for example, as shown inFIG. 1 . - The
plumbing trap system 40 further includes asecond draining device 52. Thesecond draining device 52 can be, for example, a dishwasher, a washing machine, or other household or commercial appliances. For example,second draining device 52 can be a device that generates noise during draining. Thesecond draining device 52 drains through adrain tube 54. Apump 53 can be provided to thesecond draining device 52 to enable or enhance the flow of waste water and other waste materials originating from thesecond draining device 52. For example, thepump 53 can be connected in line withdrain pipe 54, as shown inFIG. 2 . However, it must be appreciated that thepump 53 can be placed in another location, for example, provided inside thesecond draining device 52. - The
plumbing trap system 40 also includes an optionalsecond plumbing trap 56, such as a sanitary trap. Thesecond trap 56 is in communication with thedrain tube 54 and asecond drain pipe 58. Similar to thefirst trap 48, thesecond trap 56 can be any commercially available sanitary trap, including, but not limited to, a U-shaped sanitary trap, a S-shaped sanitary trap, a partitioned sanitary trap, etc. Alternatively, thesecond trap 56 can be, for example, a one-way fluid valve that allows the waste water to flow in one direction but blocks unwanted odors in the opposite direction. In this embodiment, thesecond trap 56, thesecond drain pipe 58 and thedrain tube 54 are shown integrally formed from a one-piece of pipe (for example, a plastic pipe). However, it must be appreciated that other arrangements including an arrangement in which thesecond trap 56 is an independent piece (for example, as shown inFIG. 1 ) may also be provided. - In the
plumbing trap system 40, instead of connecting thesecond drain pipe 58 directly to the discharge pipe 50 (as in the plumbing trap system 10), thesecond drain pipe 58 is inserted through aninlet 59 provided in thefirst drain pipe 46. Although thesecond drain pipe 58 is shown inFIG. 2 being inserted through theinlet 59 provided in thefirst drain pipe 46, thesecond drain pipe 58 can also be inserted through an inlet provided in thefirst trap 48. A portion of thesecond drain pipe 58 is allowed to extend through thefirst trap 48 to reachdischarge pipe 50. A sealing member may be provided to seal theinlet 59. In this embodiment, a diameter of thesecond drain pipe 58 is smaller than a diameter of thefirst drain pipe 46 and smaller than an inside dimension of thefirst trap 48. In this way, the portion of thedrain pipe 58 extending through thefirst trap 48 is prevented from hindering a flow of waste water originating from thefirst draining device 42. - In operation, waste water and other waste material from the
first draining device 42 drains through thedrain 44, then down thefirst drain pipe 46, then through thefirst trap 48, then through thedischarge pipe 50 into the municipal sewer system, the septic tank or the like. In an embodiment of the present invention, thedischarge pipe 50 can be positioned vertically to enhance flow of waste water and other waste material. - Waste water and other waste material flowing from the
second draining device 52 flows throughdrain pipe 54, then throughsecond trap 56, then through second drain pipe 58 (a portion of which extends through the first trap 48) before exiting throughport 57 intodischarge pipe 50. The waste water and other waste material is then discharged throughdischarge pipe 20 into the municipal sewer system, septic tank or the like. - Similar to the
plumbing trap system 10, in theplumbing trap system 40, noise that may be generated by the drainage of waste water and other waste materials from thesecond draining device 52 into thedischarge pipe 50 and would otherwise emanate from thedrain 44 in thefirst draining device 42 can be reduced or substantially eliminated by thefirst trap 48. Indeed, any noise generated from thesecond draining device 52 that may emanate from thedrain 44 in thefirst draining device 42 can be reduced or substantially eliminated by the “water” present in thefirst trap 48 which, in addition of playing the role of an odor barrier, acts also as a sound barrier. - To further attenuate or substantially eliminate the noise level originating from the
22, 52 and emanating fromsecond draining device 14, 44 in thedrain 12, 42, and interior coating or an exterior coating may be applied to one or more of the components of thefirst draining device 10, 40. For example, the interior coating may be a friction-reducing or turbulence-reducing coating or a noise barrier. The exterior coating may be, for example, a noise barrier or other sound absorbing material. Alternatively or in addition to other noise-reduction measures, the geometry of the components ofplumbing trap system 10, 40 may be adapted to further attenuate the noise emanating fromplumbing trap system 14, 44. It should be appreciated that any one or more of the components of thedrain plumbing trap system 10, may be incorporated into the 22, 52. Furthermore, additional traps (e.g., sanitary traps) may also be provided depending on the application sought.second draining device -
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of thesecond drain pipe 28 inplumbing trap system 10 and thesecond drain pipe 58 inplumbing trap system 40, according to an embodiment of the present invention. As shown inFIG. 3 , 28, 58 may include ansecond drain pipe interior coating 60 and/or anexterior coating 62 as described hereinabove. It should be understood that suchinterior coating 60 and/orexterior coating 62 may be provided to any one or more of the components of the 10, 40. For example, alternatively or in addition to providing theplumbing trap system interior coating 60 and/orexterior coating 62 to 28, 58, an interior coating and/or exterior coating may be provided to at least a portion ofsecond drain pipe 20, 50 to muffle or reduce further the level of noise that may be transmitted throughdischarge pipe 28, 58. Alternatively or in addition, anpipe interior coating 60 and/orexterior coating 62 may also be provided to 18, 48.first trap - While various embodiments of the present invention have been described above, it should be understood that they have been presented by way of example, and not limitation. It will be apparent to person skilled in the relevant art(s) that various changes in form and detail can be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. In fact, after reading the above description, it will be apparent to one skilled in the relevant art(s) how to implement the invention in alternative embodiments. Thus, the present invention should not be limited by any of the above-described exemplary embodiments. Accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents should be considered as falling within the spirit and scope of the invention.
- In addition, it should be understood that the figures, are presented for example purposes only. The plumbing trap systems of the present invention are sufficiently flexible and configurable, such that it may be utilized in ways other than that shown in the accompanying figures.
- For example, although the
26, 56 is shown as part of thesecond trap 10, 40 in the embodiments described in the above paragraphs and illustrated inplumbing trap systems FIGS. 1 and 2 , the use of the 26, 56 is optional. Thesecond trap 18, 48 allows to reduce or substantially eliminate noise, originating from draining waste material from thefirst trap 22, 52 and emanating from thesecond draining device 14, 44, with or without the use ofdrain 26, 56. Thesecond trap 26, 56 is used in the above embodiments simply as an odor barrier device to block any undesirable odors that may travel through thesecond trap 20, 50 and throughdischarge pipe 28, 58 into thepipe 22, 52. It must be appreciated that other odor barrier devices can be used instead of or in addition to thesecond draining device 26, 56. Alternatively, an odor barrier may not be necessary at all.second trap - Further, the purpose of the Abstract of the Disclosure is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientists, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application. The Abstract of the Disclosure is not intended to be limiting as to the scope of the present invention in any way.
Claims (59)
1. A plumbing system, comprising:
a first draining device and a second draining device;
a first trap in communication with the first draining device through a first drain pipe;
a discharge pipe in communication with the first trap; and
a second drain pipe in communication with the second draining device and in communication with the discharge pipe; and
wherein the first draining device is adapted to drain waste material through the first drain pipe, then through the first trap into the discharge pipe, and the second draining device is adapted to drain waste material through the second drain pipe into the discharge pipe, and wherein a dimension of the second drain pipe is smaller than a dimension of the discharge pipe.
2. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the first draining device is an open-air draining device.
3. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the second draining device includes a pump for pumping the waste material into the second drain pipe.
4. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the second draining device is a household appliance or a fluid-disposing machine.
5. The plumbing system according to claim 4 , wherein the household appliance is a dishwasher or a washing machine.
6. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein an interior surface of the first drain pipe, the second drain pipe, the first trap, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a noise barrier.
7. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein an interior surface of the first drain pipe, the second drain pipe, the first trap, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a friction-reducing coating.
8. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein an exterior surface of the first drain pipe, the second drain pipe, the first trap, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a noise barrier.
9. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein an exterior surface of the first drain pipe, the second drain pipe, the first trap, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a sound absorbing material.
10. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the second drain pipe is connected to the discharge pipe in a manner so that waste water draining from the first trap into the discharge pipe is prevented from flowing into the second drain pipe.
11. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the first trap and the first drain pipe and/or the first trap and the discharge pipe are formed from a one-piece of pipe.
12. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the first trap is a sanitary trap.
13. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , further comprising a second trap in communication with the second draining device and in communication with the discharge pipe through the second drain pipe.
14. The plumbing system according to claim 13 , wherein the second trap is a sanitary trap.
15. The plumbing system according to claim 13 , wherein an interior surface of the second trap is provided with a noise barrier.
16. The plumbing system according to claim 13 , wherein an interior surface of the second trap is provided with a friction-reducing coating.
17. The plumbing system according to claim 13 , wherein an exterior surface of the second trap is provided with a sound absorbing material.
18. The plumbing system according to claim 13 , wherein an exterior surface of the second trap is provided with a sound absorbing material.
19. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the second trap and the second drain pipe are formed from a one-piece of pipe.
20. The plumbing system according to claim 1 , wherein the second drain pipe is adapted to be inserted through an inlet in the first drain pipe or through an inlet in the first trap to reach the discharge pipe through the first trap.
21. The plumbing system according to claim 20 , wherein the dimension of the second drain pipe is smaller than an internal dimension of the first trap.
22. A plumbing system for draining waste material from each of a first draining device and a second draining device into a discharge pipe, the plumbing system comprising:
a first trap in communication with open air and adapted to receive the waste material draining from the first draining device; and
a fluid conduit providing fluid communication between the second draining device and the discharge pipe and adapted to drain waste material from the second draining device into the discharge pipe, the fluid conduit having a dimension smaller than a dimension of the discharge pipe,
wherein the waste material draining into the first trap drains from the first trap into the discharge pipe.
23. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein the first draining device is an open-air draining device.
24. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein the second draining device includes a pump for pumping the waste material into the fluid conduit.
25. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein the second draining device is a household appliance or a fluid-disposing machine.
26. The plumbing system according to claim 25 , wherein the household appliance is a dishwasher or a washing machine.
27. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein an interior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a noise barrier.
28. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein an interior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a friction-reducing coating.
29. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein an exterior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a noise barrier.
30. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein an exterior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a sound absorbing material.
31. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , further comprising a first drain pipe in communication with the first draining device and the first trap, wherein the first trap and the first drain pipe and/or the first trap and the discharge pipe are formed from a one-piece of pipe.
32. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein the first trap is a sanitary trap.
33. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , further comprising a second trap adapted to receive the waste material draining from the second draining device.
34. The plumbing system according to claim 33 , wherein the second trap is a sanitary trap.
35. The plumbing system according to claim 33 , wherein an interior surface of the second trap is provided with a noise barrier.
36. The plumbing system according to claim 33 , wherein an interior surface of the second trap is provided with a friction-reducing coating.
37. The plumbing system according to claim 33 , wherein an exterior surface of the second trap is provided with a noise barrier.
38. The plumbing system according to claim 33 , wherein an exterior surface of the second trap is provided with a sound absorbing material.
39. The plumbing system according to claim 33 , wherein the second trap and the fluid conduit are formed from a one-piece of pipe.
40. The plumbing system according to claim 22 , wherein the fluid conduit is adapted to be inserted through an inlet into the first trap to reach the discharge pipe after extending through the first trap.
41. The plumbing system according to claim 40 , wherein the dimension of the fluid conduit is smaller than an internal dimension of the first trap.
42. A plumbing system for draining waste material from each of an open air first draining device and a noise originating draining device into a discharge pipe, the plumbing system comprising:
a first trap in communication with open air and adapted to receive the waste material draining from the first draining device; and
a fluid conduit providing fluid communication between the noise originating draining device and the discharge pipe, the fluid conduit being adapted to drain waste material from the noise originating draining device into the discharge pipe,
wherein the waste material draining into the first trap drains from the first trap into the discharge pipe,
wherein the first trap substantially prevents noise, originating from draining waste material from the noise originating draining device into the fluid conduit, from reaching the open air draining device.
43. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein the noise originating draining device is a household appliance or a fluid-disposing machine.
44. The plumbing system according to claim 43 , wherein the household appliance is a dishwasher or a washing machine.
45. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein an interior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a noise barrier.
46. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein an interior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a friction-reducing coating.
47. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein an exterior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a noise barrier.
48. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein an exterior surface of the first trap, the fluid conduit, or the discharge pipe, or a combination of two or more thereof, is provided with a sound absorbing material.
49. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , further comprising a first drain pipe in communication with the open air draining device and the first trap, wherein the first trap and the first drain and/or the first trap and the discharge pipe are formed from a one-piece of pipe.
50. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein the first trap is a sanitary trap.
51. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , further comprising a second trap adapted to receive the waste material draining from the noise originating draining device.
52. The plumbing system according to claim 51 , wherein the second trap is a sanitary trap.
53. The plumbing system according to claim 51 , wherein an interior surface of the second trap is provided with a noise barrier.
54. The plumbing system according to claim 51 , wherein an interior surface of the second trap is provided with a friction-reducing coating.
55. The plumbing system according to claim 51 , wherein an exterior surface of the second trap is provided with a noise barrier.
56. The plumbing system according to claim 51 , wherein an exterior surface of the second trap is provided with a sound absorbing material.
57. The plumbing system according to claim 51 , wherein the second trap and the fluid conduit are formed from a one-piece of pipe.
58. The plumbing system according to claim 42 , wherein the fluid conduit is adapted to be inserted through an inlet into the first trap to reach the discharge pipe after extending through the first trap.
59. The plumbing system according to claim 58 , wherein the dimension of the fluid conduit is smaller than an internal dimension of the first trap.
