Definitions

  • the invention relates to an anchoring means for securing a building element to a concrete-constructed building element, the anchoring means comprising a structure that is to be attached to an edge of the concrete- constructed building element during manufacturing and that is provided with threaded openings for securing members that receive loads from the building element, the structure provided with threaded openings comprising an elongated part, in which the threaded openings have been arranged and in which gripping means extending inside the concrete-constructed building element are arranged.
  • Securing of various building elements to a concrete- constructed building element constitutes a common and sometimes rather cumbersome step in construction of residential buildings, for instance.
  • Securing of railings to a balcony slab may be given as an example of these cases.
  • a railing element is currently pre-cast to engage with a slab at a prefabrication plant, because railing installation is very difficult to carry out on building site. Difficulties result from the fact that, in general, the railing must be welded into place. If the railing is fixedly pre-cast in the slab, other problems arise at the prefabrication plant. For instance, because of the moulding technique and the quality of the balcony, balcony slabs should be cast upside down, in other words, the upper surface against the mould.
  • Finnish patent publication 96630 discloses a solution to eliminate the above drawbacks.
  • in connection with slab casting sleeve-like pieces having an internal thread are attached to the balcony slab such that their mouth is directly on the edge of the balcony slab.
  • Fastenings are secured to the edge of the balcony slab by using, for instance, screw members that are screwed in the above-mentioned pieces having the internal thread.
  • the railing part comprises second fastenings that are compatible with the fastenings secured to the slab edge, whereby the railing part may be secured to the balcony slab by interconnecting said fastenings.
  • a drawback with the solution described in Finnish utility model No. 4678 is the price.
  • the price is high, because the bar-shaped part and all the other parts alike must be made of stainless steel and the mass of the bar-shaped part is relatively large. Hence, the manufacturing costs rise to a level that is not feasible.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an anchoring means, whereby the drawbacks of the prior art may be eliminated. This is achieved with the anchoring means of the invention.
  • the anchoring means of the invention is characterized in that an elongated part is provided with at least one hole, on the inner surface of which there is at least one protrusion and that the threaded openings are provided by means of sleeve-like parts that are arranged to be secured to the elongated part by inserting first ends of the sleeve- like parts into the holes, whereby the protrusions on the inner surfaces of the holes give in and deform and thus lock the sleeve-like parts tightly in the holes and that gripping means are secured to second ends of the sleeve-like parts.
  • the invention has an advantage that the elongated part is very advantageous to manufacture. It is possible to make the elongated part by casting precisely so that the threaded openings are exactly at correct locations.
  • the elongated part is also economical and fast to make. It is advantageous to use the elongated part, because the part is easy to fasten to the mould, for instance with nails, which makes mounting a quick operation in comparison with the prior art, which employs, for instance, bolts that penetrate the mould and engage with the threaded openings.

  • the mounting of the railing element or the like is conventional technology to a person skilled in the art, and therefore it will not be described in detail in this connection, but reference is made to Finnish utility model No. 4678, in which these matters are described more broadly.
