Abstract
Ein Verbrennungsmotor mit einer zur Verbrennung eines Luft-Kraftstoff-Gemischs geeigneten Anordnung aus einem Zylinder und einem in dem Zylinder bewegbaren Kolben sowie mit einer Steuerung für die Anordnung, wobei durch die Verbrennung innerhalb eines im Wesentlichen durch den Zylinder und den Kolben gebildeten und Innenwände aufweisenden Brennraums mittels eines mindestens zwei Arbeitstakte aufweisenden thermodynamischen Kreisprozesses oder Arbeitsverfahrens mechanische Arbeit geleistet wird, ist im Hinblick auf einen verbesserten Wirkungsgrad derart ausgestaltet und weitergebildet, dass die Steuerung derart ausgebildet ist, dass nach einem Verbrennungstakt mittels eines in den Brennraum eingebrachten Kühlmediums ein Kühltakt zur inneren Kühlung der Innenwände des Brennraums und zur Ausnutzung der durch das Kühlmedium aufgenommenen Wärmemenge in Form einer den Kolben bewegenden Expansion des bei der Kühlung erwärmten Kühlmediums durchführbar ist.
