Definitions
- the invention relates to a drill chuck, in particular for percussion drilling, with a chuck connected to a drill chuck, in which are arranged inclined to the chuck axis guide shots between a receptacle for the drilling tool forming jaws are arranged with a row of teeth for opening and closing the chuck in the Thread engage a rotatably guided on the chuck body threaded ring, further with a
- Locking device for the threaded ring consisting of a coaxial ring of SperrausEnglishept and at least one locking member which is engaged in the locking position under the force of a locking spring in the locking recesses, wherein the locking member and * the locking recesses abut each other in such inclined flank surfaces, that this Lock threaded ring in the opening of the drill chuck corresponding direction of rotation against rotation, during rotation of the threaded ring in the opposite, so closing the drill chuck corresponding rotation direction but push out the locking member against the force of the locking spring from the locking recesses and thereby slip from lock recess to lock recess, further with a limited between first stops relative to the threaded ring rotatable coaxial adjusting ring, and with a circumferentially two locking positions for the adjusting ring forming latching device.
- Such a chuck is known from EP 0 710 518 A2, which has proven to be excellent in practice and has been sold in very high numbers due to its robustness and reliability.
- These aforementioned advantages are associated with a very simple operation for the user, since when loosening and tensioning of the drill chuck, the locking device is forcibly actuated, so the user must only take the collar and twist in one direction or the other.
- By locking means a secure clamping of the drilling tool is ensured in drilling operation with high stresses, especially when impact drilling, even if strong vibrations act on the drill chuck.
- drill chucks are increasingly being used on non-grid-connected, battery-operated drilling machines for screwing.
- Locking recesses This is associated with a wear of both the locking recesses and the locking member, which is unnecessary when using the chuck for screwing.
- the invention is therefore based on the object, a drill chuck of the type mentioned in such a way that it is made while maintaining ease of use in the discretion of the user, whether the locking device is activated or not.
- Adjustment of the locking member between the locking position and the disengaged from the locking teeth state of the locking member corresponding release position is provided, and that in the corresponding opening of the drill chuck rotation direction front second stop in the locked position abuts the counter-stop.
- the advantage that the user can operate this in the usual way, and in particular when opening the drill chuck means no difference, whether the locking device is activated or not.
- the user can thus when clamping a tool through the collar the desired clamping force generate and then depending on the application, decide whether in the same direction in which previously the collar has been rotated, and the locking ring is rotated to activate the locking device. If the locking device is activated, the corresponding direction of rotation in the opening of the drill chuck lies against the second stop in the blocking position, so that the adjusting ring can simply be grasped and adjusted in the direction of opening that corresponds to the opening in order to open the drill chuck, without this being the case the locking ring must be pressed again.
- the adjusting ring relative to the threaded ring is limited rotatable to move the locking member between the locking position and the release position, wherein the latching device serves to secure both rotary positions of the adjusting ring against the threaded ring.
- the adjusting ring can also assume two rotational positions relative to the threaded ring, but this is not connected to a switching of the blocking member, if this permanently remains in the release position due to a failure of the locking ring. Will the Twist locking ring to activate the locking device, the second stops are changed.
- the second stops but must not be changed again, since a relative rotation of the adjusting ring relative to the threaded ring remains possible while the locking ring is taken.
- the locking device in cooperation with the first attacks thus ensures by fixing the rotational position of the adjusting ring a drag function for the locking ring when the locking device is activated.
- the locking ring is rotatably mounted on the adjusting ring, as this offers advantages both during assembly and during operation, because an immediate accessibility of the locking ring to the chuck body for storage is not required.
- the locking ring is mounted radially on the outside of the adjusting ring and the counter-stops are arranged on a locking cam formed on the inner circumference of the locking ring.
- an aesthetic appearance of the chuck can be preserved, in which hinder any structures of the locking ring of gripping the adjusting ring.
- the locking ring is guided radially inwardly relative to the adjusting ring and passes through this with a counter cam provided the handle cam in a ring window.
- Embodiment provides the adjusting ring an enlarged, axially longer extending gripping surface available, which is only to interrupt the ring window. It is more pleasant for the user when the handle cam and the ring window are provided twice in a diametrical arrangement.
- a control cam is formed on the cam, wherein adjusted by turning the locking ring relative to the adjusting ring in the closing of the drill chuck corresponding direction of rotation, the locking member from the disengaged state in the engaged state and vice versa.

- FIGS. 1 and 6 show that the locking ring 21 is rotatably mounted on the adjusting ring 15, in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 5 radially outward on the adjusting ring 15, wherein the counter-stops 19 at one on the inner circumference of the locking ring 21 trained locking cam 22 are arranged.

- the user can by turning the locking ring 21 in the same direction of rotation 13, in which previously the adjusting ring 15 has been rotated, press the locking device, but this is not. If the user presses the locking device, the locking ring 21 is adjusted relative to the second stops 20, 20 'of the adjusting ring 15 and thereby leaves through the
- the user To open the drill chuck and change the tool, the user merely grasps the adjusting ring 15 and twists it in the opposite direction of rotation from the clamping, namely in the direction of the arrow 12, the user being able to do this irrespective of which configuration is present, that is to say independently of whether the state illustrated in FIG. 4, which is suitable in particular for screwing, or the state illustrated in FIG. 5 has been selected by the user.
- the user is therefore not forced to open the drill chuck before to press the locking ring 21, because this is entrained by the adjusting ring 15, starting from Fig. 5 by rotating the adjusting ring 15 of the operating state shown in Fig. 3 is achieved, the relative rotation of the adjusting ring 15 with the locking ring 21 relative to the threaded ring 6 allows unlocking.
