- FIG. 4 is a section view showing a water supply valve having a backflow prevention function according to still another embodiment of the present invention.
- the water supply valve having a backflow prevention function includes a pipe assembly 20 in which fluid is introduced and discharged so as to circulate.
- the pipe assembly 20 is provided with a fluid chamber 21 with an upper portion opened, an inlet pipe 22 extending through a side of the fluid chamber 21, a leading end of which is bent upward, and an outlet pipe 23 connected to the other side of the fluid chamber 21.
- a bellows 30 is mounted over the opened upper portion of the fluid chamber 21 of the pipe assembly 20.
- the bellows 30 opens and closes an opening of the inlet pipe 22 and has an outlet hole 31 formed in a portion thereof.
- a cover 40 is assembled with the fluid chamber 21 at the upper portion of the fluid chamber 21 to cover the bellows 30, and has a spring reception recess 42 formed therein in which a buffer spring 41 is received so as to compress the bellows 30.
- the second fluid chamber 50 is formed and connected to the inlet pipe 22 of the pipe assembly 20.
- the second fluid chamber 50 has a water inlet pipe 51 connected to a side thereof. Further, an opening is formed at an upper portion of the second fluid chamber 50.

- the upper cover 56 is provided with a plunger 59 resiliently suspended thereto by a spring 60, and a rubber rod 58 attached to the lower end of the plunger 59.
- the upper cover 56 is raised and lowered by a solenoid 57 to enable the rubber rod 58 of the plunger 59 to open and close the water outlet hole 54 of the bellows plate 55.
- Such a second fluid chamber 50 may be formed at a side or an upper portion of the fluid chamber 21.
- the second fluid chamber has the same configuration as the conventional water supply valve, the outlet pipe of which is connected to the water supply valve of the present invention so as to carry out the prevention of the water backflow as a part of the present invention.
- the conventional water supply valve may be formed over the water supply valve of the present invention.
- the solenoid 57 when the electricity is applied to the solenoid 57, the solenoid 57 operates and enables the plunger 59 to be raised and lowered so that the rubber rod 58 opens the outlet hole 54 of the bellows. Therefore, the circulating water is introduce through the inlet pipe 22 into the upper fluid chamber, and the bellows 30 is lifted up by the pressure of the introduced water, resulting in the flow of the circulating water through the outlet pipe 23.
- the present invention can be applied to boilers, and prevent the backflow of the circulating water in the circulation pipe even though the back pressure is generated in the valve by the water hammer occurring when the valve is raised and lowered in the case where the pressure in a plant or apparatus is greater than the water pressure.
