Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine kapazitive Niveausonde, insbesondere zur Messung der Füllhöhe eines flüssigen Mediums, mit einem Anschlussstück (14), einer mit dem Anschlussstück (14) verbundenen und über das Anschlussstück (14) hinausragenden Elektrode (12), die ein Fühlerelement (28) umfasst, einer Isolierhülle (16), die das Fühlerelement (28) radial vollständig umgibt, wobei die Isolierhülle (16) in einem Kontaktbereich (30) an der Elektrode (12) anliegt und wobei Elektrode (12) und Isolierhülle (16) so ausgebildet sind, dass im Kontaktbereich (30) vorhandenes Gas (56) bei einem Druckgefälle zwischen Kontaktbereich (30) und Umgebung der Niveausonde (10) aus dem Kontaktbereich (30) auf einem Strömungspfad (51 ) aus dem Kontaktbereich (30) strömt. Erfindungsgemäß ist die Isolierhülle (16) derart ausgebildet, dass der Strömungspfad durch mindestens eine Öffnung (32) in der Isolierhülle (16) oder vollständig zwischen Elektrode (12) und Isolierhülle (16) verläuft. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner einen Behälter für flüssiges Medium mit einer derartigen Niveausonde.
