  • the foil may also provide tamper evidence in that if the foil is intact it provides the consumer with reassurance that the product has not been tampered with or previously opened or otherwise exposed to the external atmosphere. This function is further enhanced if the cap is formed of a transparent material.
  • the diameter of the wide-mouth opening of the container will normally need to be at least 40mm, preferably at least 45mm, and more preferably at least 50mm. Additionally, an excessively wide opening is generally difficult for the consumer to drink from, and thus the wide-mouth opening preferably has a diameter no greater than 150mm, more preferably no greater than 100mm, and especially no greater than 80mm. A particularly preferred diameter range for the wide-mouth opening is 50 to 80mm, and examples of particular preferred diameters included 53mm and 63mm.

Such a situation may be prevented by the nature or design of the foil 161 and/or by the provision of venting means which prevents the pressure P reaching the level required to achieve this.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un récipient pour boisson destiné à stocker une boisson gazeuse, comprenant un corps de récipient (10), lequel comprend une ouverture (11) et un organe de fermeture amovible (12) permettant de fermer l'ouverture (11), cet organe de fermeture comprenant un volet (20) qui fournit une étanchéité au gaz à l'ouverture (11). Cet agencement est tel qu'une tendance de forces agissant sur ce volet (20) du fait de la pression à l'intérieur du récipient, pour séparer le volet (20) du corps de récipient (10) par arrachage est réduite grâce à un collier (12A) par exemple permettant de limiter la déflexion du volet (20) contigu à la liaison entre les éléments et/ou grâce à la forme de la bordure (15) de ce corps de récipient (10) de sorte que la fermeture soit capable de résister à des pressions internes supérieures pour lesquelles elle n'aurait pas résisté sans cet agencement.
