  • Flat boxes 20 are mounted, one on each side 11 , said boxes having at their ends entry and exit openings, respectively 22 and 24, protected by grilles 26.

  • Figure 3 shows a building 50 with balconies 55 onto which are mounted filter boxes 60 containing a filter of activated carbon similar to that shown in Figure 2, and with end openings 65. The building is situated in a position where strong winds prevail. The wind carries air through one of the openings 65 into the filter and out through , the other opening after cleaning.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif épurateur d'air comprenant une boîte de filtrage (20) de forme oblongue, dont la structure est en plastique ou en métal, qui a des ouvertures (20, 24) à chaque extrémité, et qui renferme des couches de carbone activé (32). Ainsi, lorsqu'un courant d'air pollué traverse ladite boîte, il en ressort propre à l'autre extrémité. Ladite boîte de filtrage peut être installée sur des véhicules à moteur privés et publics (10) ainsi que sur des bâtiments (50) en des emplacements où, d'ordinaire, le vent souffle fort; ladite boîte est alignée dans la même direction que celle du vent, ou encore installée sur des panneaux fixes de signalisation routière, le mouvement du véhicule à moteur ou le vent forçant l'air à travers la boîte.
