Abstract

The invention relates to an adjustable armrest, with a device for adjusting and fixing an arm support, said device comprising at least two essentially parallel tracks (1), each track (1) having at least one slide (2), guided by said track (1), moving along said track (1) and the armrest is directly or indirectly connected to the slides (2), or to the tracks (1). Furthermore, at least one bowden cable (4) runs along each track (1), connected to at least one of the slides (2), to displace and fix said slide (2). The invention further relates to a motor vehicle door, comprising such an armrest, whereby a particularly light and space-saving construction for an adjustable armrest can be achieved.
