Definitions
- the present invention relates to a sweeper machine.
- a first type of these special vehicles lacks filters for the aspirated air, so that whilst the large parts of material introduced into the bin of the vehicle are held inside the bin by a fine mesh grid that prevents them from escaping, the dirty air, polluted by the small particles, escapes undisturbed and returns to the atmosphere, creating a toxic cloud a few metres from the ground.
- a second type of vehicles is instead provided with filters for filtering all the air needed to lift the dirt before the air is returned to the atmosphere, but while it does solve the problem of pollution of the external environment, they have the drawback of the large size and weight of the filters which penalise the loading capacity of the container of the vehicle, as well as of the considerable costs and of the need to clean the filters frequently to free them from the accumulated dust and dirt.
- a third type of vehicle provides for the nebulisation of water on the ground (which in fact is also present in the previously described cases) for lowering dusts and also for the nebulisation of water in a conduit for aspirating dirt.
- This third type of vehicles is not provided with filters, but rather there is a recirculation conduit that recirculates 20-80% of air in proximity to the intake conduit, but without solving the problem of environmental pollution, since 20-80% of air, saturated with dust, is freely released into the environment.
- the object of the present invention is to overcome the aforesaid drawbacks, making available a sweeper machine that allows to filter the air returned to the external environment without compromising the loading capacity of the waste container and within the context of a particularly simple and economical solution.
- the sweeper cleaner machine of the present invention which is characterised by the content of the appended claims and in particular in that it comprises means so shaped as to separate the dirty mixture aspirated downstream of a container or bin, between a recirculation conduit towards the aspirating mouth (so that said mixture is for the most part newly aspirated by the aspirating conduit of the machine) and an outlet conduit into the external environment through a cleaning filter.
- BEST MODE FOR CRRYING OUT THE INVENTION The present invention further relates to a method for treating the dirty mixture of air+waste in a sweeper cleaner machine, characterised in that it comprises:
- Figures 2 and 3 show the path of the air respectively in the exhaust and aspiration phase in the area of the filter;
- Figures 4 and 5 respectively show a front view and a lateral view of a detail of the means for cleaning the filter.
- the number 1 globally designates a sweeper cleaner machine of the vehicle type, i.e. applied to a vehicle with cab 2 and wheels 3 propelled by a known motorisation.
- the vehicle is provided with rotating brushes 4, whereof only one is illustrated, able to detach the waste from the ground and to convey it towards an aspiration conduit 5a which feeds a container or bin 6.
- the container 6 is superiorly closed by a grating 7 whose purpose is to filter the waste according to grain size, in the sense that the waste whose size exceeds that of the grating openings are destined to be accumulated in a lower area 6a of the container 6, whilst the waste whose size is smaller than the grating openings pass through the grate itself and return up through a portion 5b of the aspiration conduit downstream of the container 6 until traversing an aspirator 8 whose actuation means are not illustrated because they are known.
- a regulating valve Downstream of the aspirator 8 is present a regulating valve, also not shown because it is known, and adjustable through an outside control of the vehicle, whose task is originally to subdivide the air that receives at its intake, impregnated also with waste of reduced grain size, between a conduit 10 that feeds a filter 11 and recirculation conduit 12.
- the mixture of air+waste is thus again thrust outwards either through an outgoing conduit 13 of the filter 11 in the form of filtered and cleaned air, designated by an arrow 14, or it is thrust outwards through the recirculation conduit 12 in the form of a dirty mixture of air+waste.
- the recirculation conduit 12 ends just behind the aspiration conduit 5 a (with reference to the direction of travel of the vehicle) and it so shaped in a terminal part 12a thereof as to be narrower and more inclined in order to favour the lifting and the entry of the dirty air+waste mixture into the aspiration conduit 5 a releasing only a negligible part of said mixture into the external environment.
- the filter is a dry filter of small size and bulk and it has a development of about 21 m of its filtering parts. This allows to reduce the costs of the filter, to use a bin with high loading capacity, and thus globally to reduce the operating costs of the cleaner sweeper machine.
- the sweeper cleaner machine is also provided with means for nebulising water or other suitable liquid on the ground and/or inside the aspiration conduit 5 a, not shown because they are substantially known.
- the means are illustrated therein which allow to proceed in an easy manner to the periodic cleaning of the filter 11, and to discharging the debris stopped by the filter.
- there is a pair of hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders 15 whose rods interact with the walls of the aspiration channel 5b below the filter 11 causing its opening by rotation around a fulcrum.
- the conduit 5b below the filter 11 is defined inferiorly by the grating 7 (substantially constituting a fine mesh filter) and is closed superiorly by a wall 16 hinged on one side, which substantially constitutes a panel for the collection of fine debris.
- the cylinders cause the grating 7 to be opened as well, but the grating 7 can also be fixed since the mesh of the grating is sufficiently wide to allow to be traversed by dirt falling from the filter.
- the compressed air of the pneumatic braking system of the vehicle is used for periodically cleaning the filter.
- the compressed air supplied by the compressor is stored in a tank at a pressure of about 6 bar.
- the operator from the driver's seat activates the filter cleaning sequence which is managed electronically by a management and control logic: the compressed air is sent in pulses into each pocket of the filter, in the opposite direction with respect to the direction of filtration, so that the particles of dirt that obstructed the filter are ejected outwards, falling back by gravity onto the underlying wall or panel 16.
- the operator can discharge the collected dusts into the container, operating the cylinders 15.
- the water of the onboard water system is used, spraying it at high pressure through a manual nozzle provided with the machine.
- the method for treating the dirty air+waste mixture is therefore innovative because it comprises:
- the sweeper machine can be of the type with one or with two aspirating/blowing mouths.
- the machines with a single aspirating/blowing mouth are set up with said mouth on the right side of the vehicle to facilitate the operation of collecting dirt whilst hindering traffic as little as possible.
- machines are used with two aspirating blowing mouths, one on the right side and one on the left side, which can be activated alternatively through a pneumatically controlled valve from the driver's seat.
