Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for operating a handset according to claim 1 and a handset according to claim 10.
- Mobile telecommunications terminals are both in cellular mobile radio systems, which are designed, for example, in a manner based on the "Global System Mobile” (GSM) or the “Universal Mobile Telecommunications Standard” (UMTS) standard, or in cordless systems, for example in accordance with the "Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication” (DECT) are in use.
- GSM Global System Mobile
- UMTS Universal Mobile Telecommunications Standard
- DECT Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunication
- Some of these devices also support communication according to several of these standards - quasi-parallel, parallel and / or sequential - and thus enable, for example, so-called multimode, multilink devices.
- the object on which the invention is based is to provide a method for operating a handset and a handset. admit, which allow a more comfortable use of the provided functions.
- the menu becomes a first one Menu item is offered, whereby a first control process follows by selecting the first menu item in such a way that each first action triggered on the handset following the selection of the first menu item and the sequence in which the triggered first actions occur.
- the menu also offers a second menu item, the first control process being ended by selecting the second menu item.
- the first key is assigned a function in such a way that by pressing the first key after the selection of the second menu item, a second control process takes place in such a way that exactly another second action following the selection of the second menu item is detected on the mobile ax , wherein after detection of the second action, assignment information containing an assignment of the second action to the first actions is stored and the second control process is ended.
- the handset triggers the first actions at any later times by performing the second action.
- the method according to the invention enables functions to be carried out, which are difficult to achieve by menu nesting and can only be triggered by lengthy selection steps, by carrying out a single action.
- First actions can be carried out conveniently and quickly if the number of actions required for the second action
- Steps is small; at least, however, less than the number of first actions. It is therefore advantageous if the actuation of exactly one second key is recorded as the second action. To carry out the second action later, the second action can then be triggered by actuating, for example, a key which triggers a speed dial, such as the "#" gate key, and then actuating the second key. This has the advantage that existing special keys are used and the implementation of the method is further simplified.
- the end of the second action is preferably determined by detecting a speech pause when speaking the command. This saves the need for further input to generate the assignment. In addition, this also prompts the user to use exactly one printout and no longer formulations as a command, so that computing requirements and storage space are saved and recognition of the command is simplified or less prone to errors.
- the handset already has a function that ends the voice input, it is advantageous for an implementation to use it and to determine the end of the second action by triggering this function.
- a detection of a second action is preferably triggered when the first key is pressed as a first function, whereby the first function is understood to mean that this function already takes place when the first key is pressed without a special and / or function key having been pressed beforehand.
- a third menu item is offered, whereby by selecting the third menu item, a deletion process is initiated for a stored assignment, by pressing the first button and then executing the second action, the assignment to be deleted is marked and the assignment is deleted after the action has been carried out and the deletion process is completed.
- the handset according to the invention for performing the method has means for performing a detection of first actions, a first button which is designed such that it triggers a detection of a second action as a first function, means for storing an assignment of first actions to the second action and Means for triggering the first actions when the second action is carried out.
- the handset according to the invention offers a platform that is simple to manufacture and supports simple implementation of the method according to the invention.
- the first key is preferably a key reserved specifically for the assignment according to the method, which is already triggered when actuated without prior actuation of a special key.
- the figure shows a first sequence A1 "Define shortcut” and a second sequence A2 "Call shortcut", which are part of the method according to the invention, which is to be implemented in a common handset.
- a first sequence starts from a "terminal waiting for input” state in a first step S1.
- the handset is in this state at all times, since it is always dependent on some form of actuation.
- a user of the handset triggers the detection of first actions according to the invention.
- the user is appropriately visualized in a third step S3 that the handset is in the detection state. This is done, for example, by displaying a (modified) operator logo to the user.
- a fourth step S4 every further input on the part of the user is recorded and also the sequence of the occurrence is recorded.
- the user can therefore reach all of the functions that are difficult to carry out, for example by making many individual entries is to make the necessary entries; however, in contrast to the first state, the actions do not lead to the execution or change of the state of the device, only the individual entries together with the sequence are recorded.
- the fourth step S4 every further input on the part of the user is recorded and also the sequence of the occurrence is recorded.
- Step S4 is entered by the user into the necessary individual entries / selection processes until the generally quite hidden function of the language training is reached.
- a state "end shortcut" is reached in a fifth step S5. This is done by selecting a menu item of the same name - also shown on the display.
- a sixth step S6 the handset is now in a "detecting the shortcut key” state.
- This state can take place by actuating a key programmed specifically for the method according to the invention. It can be advantageous if this single actuation of this button both ends the detection of the first actions and initiates the detection of a second action.
- This detection takes place in a seventh step S7. According to the embodiment it is assumed that the user
- Operation of the handset can be used.
- the key defined as the shortcut key is actuated first in an eighth step S8 at any later time and then in a ninth step S9 key "3" previously assigned to the language training.
- the method according to the invention provides the user with a flexible and convenient means to meet his individual needs.
