Abstract

L'invention concerne un processeur de courrier et un procédé de traitement de courrier. Le processeur de courrier sépare les enveloppes le long d'un ou plusieurs bords et les transporte vers un point de travail où un opérateur retire le contenu des enveloppes. Un module d'alimentation tire les enveloppes du bas d'une pile de courrier placée dans une trémie. Les enveloppes sont acheminées en série par le module d'alimentation vers un ensemble de coupe qui sépare chaque enveloppe le long d'un ou de plusieurs bords. Un ensemble de transport incline chaque enveloppe selon un plan incliné et présente l'enveloppe inclinée à un opérateur. Un module d'extraction ouvre les faces séparées de l'enveloppe afin d'exposer le contenu à l'opérateur et permet à celui-ci de retirer le contenu de l'enveloppe. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'enveloppe est déchargée depuis un module d'extraction vers un vérificateur confirmant que l'enveloppe est vide avant de jeter l'enveloppe.
