Abstract

An apparatus for processing a dough or paste band arranged in layers to form a stack and in particular a meander-shaped, stacked paste band, a receiving table being provided for receiving the stack and which is equipped with a displacement device for the stepwise, horizontal displacement of the stack in a conveying direction. A singling table is positioned in the conveying direction immediately behind the receiving table, so that part of the stack is shoved by a predeterminable advance through the displacement device of the receiving table over the edge of the latter onto the singling table. A transverse dividing device is provided for separating the part of the stack on the singling table from the part of the stack on the receiving table with a displacement device having the same conveying direction as that of the receiving table displacement device and a longitudinal dividing device is provided on the singling table for dividing the separated stack portions.
