Abstract

The invention relates to folding formwork for a concrete wall. The aim of the invention is to minimise the overall dimensions of pre-fabricated formwork both in terms of post-assembly storage and transport to and on the construction site. For said purpose, the invention relates to a folding formwork for a concrete wall, comprising two parallel formwork panels which are disposed opposite one another and which are joined by connecting members, said connecting members being articulated to the formwork panels by means of vertical stiffeners. The aforementioned stiffeners comprise essentially U-shaped profile bars which are solidly connected to the formwork panels. The open end of the U is directed towards the opposing formwork panel. The inventive formwork is characterised in that one stiffener of a formwork panel is offset in relation to the corresponding stiffener on the opposing formwork panel. In this way, one lateral side of a stiffener can penetrate between the lateral sides of the opposing stiffener when the formwork is being folded.

The formwork must be able to be folded so that a lateral side of a stiffener fits completely between the lateral sides of the opposite stiffener.
