Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé amélioré et non polluant de préparation de vinylpyridine à partir de la picoline correspondante sur un catalyseur zéolitique modifié en phase vapeur. Ce procédé consiste à faire réagir la picoline avec du formaldéhyde, le rapport molaire entre le formaldéhyde et la picoline étant compris entre 1:1 et 4:1, à une température comprise entre 200 °C et 450 °C, à une vitesse spatiale comprise entre 0,25 h.-1 et 1,00 h.-1 sur un catalyseur zéolitique modifié commercial pour obtenir un rendement et une sélectivité élevés du produit souhaité.
