Abstract

Bei einer Vorrichtung (20) zur Sichtbarmachung von in einem Objekt (8) vorhandenen Sicherheitselementen, welche mindestens ein photolumineszierendes Segment aufweisen, das durch eine linear polarisierte Absorption gekennzeichnet ist, wird eine besonders einfache und kompakte Bauweise dadurch erreicht, dass wenigstens eine UV-Lichtquelle in Form einer UV-Diode (18) sowie wenigstens ein Polarisationsfilter (4) derart angeordnet sind, dass das Licht der Lichtquelle (18) durch den Polarisationsfilter (4) linear polarisiert (12) wird, in einem Dunkelraum (17) auf das Objekt (8) respektive auf die darin vorhandenen photolumineszierenden Segmente trifft, und vom Segment photolumineszierendes Licht (16) im sichtbaren Bereich durch eine Beobachtungsöffnung (10) beobachtet werden kann.
