Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Vitamin E durch Kultivierung von Organismen, insbesondere Pflanzen die gegenüber dem Wildtyp eine erhöhte 2-Methyl-6-phytylhydrochinon-Methyltransferase-Aktivität aufweisen, die Verwendung von Proteinen als 2-Methyl-6--phytylhydrochinon-Methyltransferasen, sowie die genetisch veränderten Organismen, insbesondere Pflanzen selbst.
