Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de suspension/d'amortisseur en caoutchouc précontraint pour essieux de véhicules automobiles. Ce système comprend un tube externe et un tube interne concentriques. Le tube externe est pourvu d'un levier intégré ou soudé sur le tube, permettant d'articuler le tube sur l'essieu, le ressort ou la main de ressort du véhicule, par l'intermédiaire d'un moyeu ou de semelles perforées. Le tube interne ou la flèche est soudé à ses deux extrémités à deux semelles en acier dont l'extrémité est perforée, servant chacune à articuler le tube sur l'essieu, le ressort ou la main de ressort du véhicule. Les deux tubes sont séparés par un mélange de caoutchouc naturel et synthétique disposé sur la surface de contact. Les tubes, lorsqu'ils tournent l'un dans l'autre, soumettent le caoutchouc à des forces de tension. Le système de l'invention se caractérise par le fait qu'il est précontraint en usine, avec la tension et la position souhaitée pour pouvoir être utilisé dans la plupart des véhicules comprenant une carrosserie d'origine. Le système peut être utilisé avec les systèmes de suspension traditionnels montés en usine ou comme suspension intégrale. Le système peut également être utilisé comme amortisseur entre l'essieu et le châssis, en diagonale, et comme suspension auxiliaire entre l'essieu et le châssis, en position verticale.
