Abstract

Das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren zum Verbinden eines metallischen Befestigungselements mit einem metallischen Werkstück (5), wobei das Befestigungselement einen Träger (2) aufweist, der eine Lotmasse (3) trägt, mit welcher der Träger (2) elektrisch leitend verbunden ist, umfasst folgende Verfahrensschritte: Die Lotmasse (3) wird in eine Vertiefung (8) auf dem Träger (2) eingebracht und mit einer konvexen, auf das zu verlötende Werkstück (5) 10 weisenden Profilierung (4) ausgebildet; eine elektrischen Spannung wird zwischen dem Befestigungselement und dem Werkstück (5) angelegt, so dass ein elektrischer Lichtbogen (6) zwischen Lotmasse (3) und Werkstück (5) ein selektives Aufschmelzen der Lotmasse (3) bewirkt; das Befestigungselement wird gegen das Werkstück (5) gedrückt. Das Verfahren sowie das für dieses 15 Verfahren geeignet ausgestaltete Befestigungselement mit einer auf das zu verlötende Werkstück (5) weisenden Profilierung (4) der Lotmasse (3) zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass ein lokales, selektives Schmelzen der Lotmasse (3) bewirkt wird und eine unnötige thermische Belastung umliegender Bereiche vermieden wird. Hierdurch wird eine besonders stabile Lötverbindung zwischen 20 Befestigungselement und Werkstück (5) erzielt.
