Abstract
L'invention concerne la transformation hydrométallurgique de concentrés de minerais et notamment la transformation du concentré de loparite. Le procédé consiste à broyer le concentré jusqu'à une granularité d'au moins 0,075 mm, attaquer le concentré avec de l'acide nitrique sous pression atmosphérique et à une température supérieure à 100 °C pour obtenir un gâteau hydraté de métaux réfractaires et une solution de nitrates d'éléments de terres rares, filtrer le gâteau hydraté et effectuer la transformation ultérieure des produits ainsi obtenus. La nouveauté du procédé consiste en ce que l'attaque se fait avec une concentration initiale de l'acide nitrique dans la pulpe entre 350 et 500 g / l, à une température entre 105 et 110 °C, en présence d'additifs catalytiques en composés fluorés qui représentent de 1,0 à 7,5 % de la masse du concentré en termes d'ions fluorure. En tant que composés fluorés on peut utiliser HF, NH4F, NH4HF2, NaF, CaF2 ou leurs mélanges.
