Abstract

Dans un réseau de communication optique, un signal à débit variable ou un signal d'entrée à débit non uniforme est converti en un « pseudo » signal qui présente un débit uniforme ou un débit standard du système de communication optique. Dans le récepteur, le signal d'origine à débit non uniforme est récupéré. Les signaux non uniformes ont des débits binaires qui ne sont pas compatibles avec le ou les débit(s) de transmission standard(s) du système de transmission dans lequel elles doivent être transmises. Une version particulière comprend un « pseudo » signal qui présente un format de trame de transmission de données comportant une partie charge utile subdivisée en une pluralité de sous-paquets qui contiennent des données du signaux l'entrée d'origine, et des multiplets de remplissage qui contiennent des données vides servant à remplir les parties inutilisées de la partie charge utile.
