Definitions

  • Panic alarms which include a manually operable panic button are well known and are quite commonly offered as a feature in fixed alarm installations of the kind used for intruder alarms in shops, banks, or domestic premises so that an alarm can be rapidly activated in an emergency by simply pressing the panic button.

  • there are some alarm applications in which, although there is a requirement for a panic button, its provision with existing systems is difficult if not impossible.
