Water from cooling chamber 10 is used in the brewing of the coffee to be dispensed from the machine so the temperature of this water must be at an acceptable level which is preferably around 87 - 93 deg C.

Separate buttons on each control panel will allow according to the embodiment shown in figure 2 dispensing of such beverages as short black, long black, cappuccino, hot chocolate, hot water, latte or 1 milk coffee. Absent from the machine is a closed pressurised steam system as in the prior art machines which allows steam infusion of coffee grounds. That system usually results in wastage of coffee grounds whereas the arrangements for the machine described above eliminate wastage of the beverage .
